World Cup 2022 Final: Argentina vs France

If France won I would never forgive this Argentina team. In many ways they are a great team but the inability to hold onto leads is insane. How can you be leading twice in the WC final against a terrible (on the night), virus and injury ridden team and give it away both times?

Anyway, thankfully this will all be forgotten and we will just remember the best WC final of all time and the best player of all time.

I'm still in shock as to how it all happened. I never expected to dominate for 75 minutes as we did, to score from open play only once in such circumstances, or for Mbappe to keep bailing them out, or to go to penalties. It was a Rollercoaster (that I didn't enjoy tbh) but undoubtedly the best neutral wc final of my lifetime.

Congrats to France and all their fans as well for a fantastic match. Pens could've gone either way and no one would be able to complain.

refs were atrocious the entire tournament which added to the drama and spectacle i guess... but thankfully Argentina were the better team in all their matches, so these "world cup was rigged" Cronaldo fanboys can suck it

@rincon sadly in the US, got some real regret looking at all the footage from back home but being world cup winners is some consolation

Can't even begin to think what would have happened if we lost. Taking off ADM would be remembered as a Pekerman-Riquelme level mistake. Lautaro would get the Higuain treatment. Argentina known as the biggest bottlers in international football. Messi as having a stain in his career. Ugh. Glad it didn't happen

i talked about it before... gained massive respect for Scaloni this tournament... very impressive... and all of his changes for every game were justified when you saw how the games turned out...

also massive props to him and Dybala for coming on and scoring his penalty...

Penalty or not Lautaro was truly bad. Alvarez was so good on the other hand, good on Scaloni for swapping them and not turning back.

Higuain also made a lot of contributions that are forgotten because he missed.

Lautaro had 2 chances in ET to seal the game, he could've been hailed as a hero with a cooler head.

Just want to point out what absolute cunts Martinez and Aguero are.  Otamendi and Paredes are well-known cunts; but on the pitch.  These guys are douchebags everywhere.

Randomly popped up on YT. What a final that was from the highlights Arg playing great football while looked like Germany could only resort to non stop sliding tackles n fouls, n got the 2 goals from corners, very classic to what I have heard in the past.
