It's kinda wild that Chelsea moved from the four offensive players they won the Champions League with two years ago. Werner, Havertz, Pulisic, and Mount had an average age of just 22. Most people assumed that they will only get better as they get older and gel well with each other. Instead, all four are gone just two years after the triumph.

I still think he can be dedicated professional n work his way for the team, but will he?

We went from Bernardo to Joao Felix to Neymar real quick. And none of them will happen anyway

It feels like A LOT would have to happen for Neymar to join Barca, like him terminating his contract with PSG and reducing his salary by 70% and even possibly Ansu leaving - Is that even in the realm of possibility?

I've never been impressed by Werner and Havertz although my sample is much smaller than usual PL followers. However to change the whole squad 2 years after winning Champions League is absurd (especially the younger guys)

Abramovich was the bad russian guy and good riddance but i wonder is Todd Boehly a positive thing for the club sportively speaking ? I'm getting a Phoenix Suns vibe from this owner, buys the club as a toy and willing to spend zillions to put his mark on a already good squad.

Correction, we didn't want to let him go for free. The Chinese club refused to pay a transfer and the move fell through. He wasn't even part of our plans then but he couldn't find a club to pay a transfer fee for him.

So much untapped potential and 'what could have been' with Neymar's story. Had every chance to have his name beside the Messis and Ronaldos of this sport. Actually makes me a little sad.

Anyone know the wages these stars going to SA will get? Neymar getting 100M a yr? How does that do what CR gets now and back in EU? What does Messi get now n at PSG n Barca? I know they dont release these but generally reported?

Im prolly late as usual n didnt pay enough attention, but 100M a year is buffling to me, thats like more than 8M a month meaning 2M week? I thought EU pays the stars around 200K not that long ago?

I don't know specifics for  Messi and I haven't given too much attention to the Saudi players but even good but not elite players like SMS from Lazio are on like 20M NET apparently, they're getting wildly rich out there. It's the kind of money that even if you're filthy rich by normie standards, you can't really pass it up unless you're a rare breed.

I don't think this will be the norm say 10 years from now. Saudi Arabia have nigh unlimited wealth and are essentially investing part of it intowhitewashing their  (currently horrific) international reputation (even outside of football, they recently bought VICE NEWS out of bankruptcy who catered to a very specific demographic with their journalism and there are issues arising with them reporting on shady Saudi issues already as a result of that)

They're launching a bid for the 2030 world cup and basically all of these guys will be ambassadors too
