Previously club showed little interest in Rudiger, even with the free transfer as at that time they were satisfied with Militao and Alaba. The pursuit for a more reliable CB for replacing Vallejo has so far not shown candidates!   The only one that I think of Pau Torres would cost a lot more than Rudiger! Further, despite our desperate need for much more competent fullbacks (on both sides), there isn’t a lot of suitable candidates.

The exposure of Alaba deficiencies at CB has now been exposed, demonstrating that we do need a competent starter. Signing Rudiger and moving Alaba solves both the CB and LB issues plus gives us more backup options. With the one signing, we will only need challenger to Dani and a better potential CB than Vallejo to improve the overall defense and overall makes for lots of internal competition which is a good thing.

Just read that club is very impressed with recent signing of Vinicius Tobias, a Brazilian RB via Shaktar. He’s only 18 and considered a future project. This could mean a backup to Dani (and Lucas), either as part of first team or call-up from Castilla, if they don’t find anyone in marketplace.

Barca are missing CBs for tomorrow’s encounter with lowly Cadiz! That means defense anchored by Eric!!

Looking ahead, RMad need 4 wins out of remaining 7 games to secure top spot and that assumes Barca win all 8 remaining (with Eric anchoring defense lol ).

In next 10 days, Barca plays the delayed game, so if we win both Sevilla and Osasuna games, we are down to 2 wins, again assuming Barca can win the three games in 10 days! I say this Sevilla game is key to wrapping up title.

The heart of this team is unreal... just never give up. I think it's both good and bad tbh. They know they can come back from any deficit against anyone if they so choose. But you're going to get caught with this attitude sooner or later. Much easier to just not start like shit lol.

Militao literally lost his head in the first half. Dreadful errors. Kudos to him for bouncing back but if you play like that against City, the tie will be over before it's even started

Great second half. Valverde playing where he should be bringing energy to that corpse of a midfield. Camavinga either doesn't know that he already has a yellow ot he too lost his head by "taking one for the team" bet he doesn't play much after this when all he did was cover for the his turtle partners

Dani with an outstanding game. Rodrygo flipped this game on it's head

Vini with a terrible game. He looks knackered. He needs to rest. Benz also, made alot of errant passes and missed a few easy chances before his goal. Modric as well. Actually come to think of it all these guys that ran themselves to the ground these past few weeks had below average or terrible games

Rodrygo is making it hard for Carlo to bench him but he can't be stupid to think we can walk in with KCM against City. That's bloody suicide

Around the 41st minute I actually expected us to comeback. The manner of which we came back was genuinely impressive nonetheless.

1) never count RMad out.

He’s headed to EPL. Rudgier is just as good if not better and he is a free transfer and interested in Madrid. The issue is are Flo and Carlo still saying they are satisfied with Militao and Adama. Biggest problem to me was Militao blaming others for his horrendous mistakes.

In a way, getting CBs solves our LB issue in a way... we can just move Alaba there.

RB is a big one though. There's literally none out there. Even France NT, who is like 5 deep at every position, can't find a RB. We end up playing Coman or Kounde there lol. That's one reason the NT's gon 352 btw... we can play wingbacks. Don't need proper FBs.

As Sports said there aren't many RBs out there and Reece is probably the only uppgrade. Seems like all other RBs have a bunch of flaws that the teams are happy to look past
