EURO 2020 - QF : Denmark vs Czech Republic

Will be interesting to see how the Czechs approach a tie against an opponent that is seen to be more on their level. Denmark have all of the momentum and emotion behind them though this game taking place in Azerbaijan might limit the travel of their fans. That could be to the advantage of the Czechs.

Denmark (3-4-3): Schmeichel; Christensen, Kjaer, Vestergaard; Stryger Larsen, Hojbjerg, Delaney, Maehle; Braithwaite, Dolberg, Damsgaard.

Boril is back from suspension replacing Kaderabak.

Poulsen and Wass is back from injury, but Dolberg and Stryger Larsen keep their place after performing well against Wales.

Unpopular opinion: Denmark are the best performing team in the tournament, not Italia.

A game of many corners (Czech 9-7 Denmark). Czech did well to fight back in the second half, as Denmark mostly sit back in the second half. But ultimately, they couldn't find the equaliser. Though Schick equalled Ronaldo's tally with 5 goals.

There was a great duel between FPL God Coufal and EuroFantasy Hero Maehle. Coufal kept Maehle relatively quiet, but the one time Maehle escaped, he delivered one of the assist of the tournament. Both delivered 1 assist, nice battle there.

Czech poor defending for that 1st corner ultimately costs them the ticket for the next round, but overall Denmark controlled the game well in the 1st half and managed to survive Czech's attacks in the 2nd half.

Wow that's a huge praise. Italy performed well in all but the match against Austria. Whilst Denmark performed well in all matches, especially in 1st half and very late in 2nd half.

Though in the match against Belgium, they thoroughly dominated Belgium in the 1st half, but they ended up losing the game after De Bruyne's introduction, in which Lukaku played very well with his THICCness.

Whilst Italy compete pound for pound against Belgium, largely in control, kept De Bruyne's to just some moments, kept Lukaku very quiet, and ended up winning the game.

That doesn't really mean much, maybe due to the matchup, and the difference of group stage and knockouts. But with that as comparison and overall of the other games, Italy still edges Denmark as the best performing team of the tournament I think
