Pogba is ridiculously good for France. Shame he has been wasted at United

Yeahhh that was a pen. He did get the ball but only after going through the man
Here we got Twellman jizzing himself over the tackle, though
What a dunce

Goal cancelled for 1mm offside after video review
And Mbappé deserved a penalty, not awarded after video review

Not even a particularly close offside tbh
Half of Mbappe was offside, and his knee in particular. I called it in real time

Incidentally, Half Mbappe is a unit of measurement where I come from....

Can't find anyone better, so far. Though Hummels is still good. Didn't love the OG obviously.
Ginter has been riding our bench for ages, since 2014 basically. Decent squad player. I've never been a fan but TBH he played very well today.

Seriously. He was sublime, but its true Kante does a lot of the running for him

It's the combination of the two IMHO, Kante is just freaking everywhere, what a beast! But Pogba is such an oldschool box to box player, creativity, tidyness, pops up everywhere. Awesome.
Though on the other half, surprisingly, Kroos was suddenly good on defense. I'm as shocked as anyone.

@CB just meant i'm pretty sure he doesn't put in as much effort at Barca as for France, as a question though?

Raiola has blood on his hands for making Pogba waste away his prime years at a joker club.
He should be the best midfielder in the world playing alongside the best players in the world, but instead he's stuck with Sir Fred, Wank Bissaka, Fartial, and Marcus Luther King.

Re: EURO 2020 - Group F
The only people who are in these squads from Barca from a quick memory check is Griezmann and Ter Stegen. If you thought I was referring to either of them with my comment, you're mistaken. I was making fun of the American commentator Taylor Twellman, who I hate, and who is bad at the job that he does.
But then again I find every American commentator or pundit absolutely woeful at football. They're fine in other sports.

Re: EURO 2020 - Group F
I know the guy won the World Cup with them, and they just won the game too, but I think what Deschamps is doing with France is absolutely horrible, detestable, disgustingly poor.
The guy has one of the most talented teams, picked from one of the most stacked top talent pool, in the history of the sport at his disposal, and he's having them park the bus being relentlessly passive and reactionary.
This team should be taking their opponents apart and entertain their fans.
Instead it's just ugly, boring, pragmatic BS stumbling to a 1-0 win with a lucky own goal.
Horrible stuff, I hate that he's wasting this generation.

Re: EURO 2020 - Group F
It's actually attack until you get the 1-0 lead and then sit back. Typical 90s Seria A tactic (and before in Italy frankly).
Should he do more? Yes. But until this tactic fails, he won't.

I like this France. Better for them to play their strengths than risk an unnecessary loss just to look good

Thanks Viva, yea I guess the German defenders did ok overall vs Mbappe n co. Large periods of the second half also they made a good effort and many half chances to come back also, so its not all bad. Key will be vs Portugal obviously.
Kroos and Modric both do great work defensively, thats why they dominated Europe for so long, its not just Casemiro

He was awesome last night. Plays like he did at Juve. Really a shame that his club career at United doesn't match his potential.

Re: EURO 2020 - Group F
Nice to see the German Bonucci make yet another mistake
Anyways, Germany yesterday was terrible, Lowe doesn't click with these young players as much as the old guard. They have a great group of players, they just need a semblance of a core to build on. I think Flick is a good appointment, he will extract the best out of these group of players. Lets just hope he doesn't sniff his meat.

Germany lost to all-powerful France by an own goal last night. Wouldn't call them terrible, game could have turned out differently without Hummels mistake.
