This is what Milan is all about, love it
14 penalites, did I read that right? That's proper laughable stuff.
You add up Inter, Roma, and Juve and we don't reach as many penalties as Milan has
Balances out the 14 times we hit the crossbar.
Imagine crying about pens like these

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Great match for Inte against Benevento today, who, now that they are nominally secure from relegation, do not have the same early-season bite.
Milan were lucky with the first penalty, not lucky to have scored three goals before it, and then lucky to keep level by the end of the first half.
Overall, I think our luck evened out in the match, and I prefer to be lucky than to play well, and we did both against Bologna.
However, we need to raise our level of play by two notches if we want to beat Inter in the next derby. Again, we need to win all games before the derby.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
1st semifinal of the coppa italia tonight, 2nd Inter-Juve of the season.
Since we lost to Inter we have won all matches with clean sheets, 10-0 agg including the supercoppa win vs Napoli.
Inter has drawn against Udinese and won the other two matches, including the Milan derby.
Both teams are expected to field strong line ups.
According to the media our backline will be rotated, resting 3 of the 4. Otherwise it should be the expected lineup.

In fact I can't deny absences of Cuadrado (he missed also against Milan) , De Ligt and Dybala were good advantage for us .
I mean it is as if Inter would have played that match without Hakimi, De Vrij and Lautaro......

Here we go.....
Derby d'Italia Coppa Italia semi-final today and Hakimi and Lukaku will miss the match (both banned)
we'll see

We are playing without Dybala, Morata, Chiellini, Bonucci, Danilo, Arthur, Chiesa, Szczesny.
This is a cursed season. Who doesn't get injured, gets covid, and those who remain have to be more rotated due to the schedule.
Excited, think it'll be a great match.

The CBs need to do better there, both were beaten by Alexis and Lautaro. Fumbled from Buffon too.

Handanovic outclowning Buffon
Seriously tho, both need to retire already. Buffon is embarrassing his legacy even more with mistakes like these.

Clear as day penalty. Stupid foul by Young and got the result it deserved.

I think the laws for penalties needs a radical change.
That was a ridiculous penalty, by any standard.
First, there wasn't much contact to constitute a foul, it was clearly fishing for a foul, and that shouldn't be grounds to give a free goal in a low scoring sport.
Second, the ball wasn't even going in for play, and neither was Cuadrado going for the ball (it was 5 meters in the air and waaay overshot).
Simply, if there isn't much danger for the play to score a goal, a free attempt at scoring shouldn't be awarded. I think the box should be smaller (or the awarding a penalty area), and penalties shouldn't be given for contesting balls that are five meters above the field of play.
Juve were awful before the goals, and now are dominating the match.

Sure it is
Cuadrado was going to jump five meters in the air and score like in Anime cartoon if it wasn't for Young's slightest of touches.
Cuadrado wasn't even going in the direction of the ball's landing, then with the touch of a feather, drops down like a bag of cement.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
The foul was grabbing taking him by the arm, the arhument is that if Young hadnt held him back Cuadrado would have been able to attack the ball two meters from goal.
Silly by Young, he has the experience to know better.
Bastoni can blame it on inexperience but that mistake may cost Inter the match.
IMO none of the GKs are the most at fault for these goals. Lautaro and Ronaldo should have never been allowed to shoot. Bastoni got caught off guard and Demiral, De Ligt, and Bentancur got beaten by Alexis and Lautaro when any of them should have stopped the action.

I thought Buffon played great against Barca. He has an occasional fumble to him now, but I still rate him more than Handanovic, and he is better than dozen of 2nd GKs out there.

The ball was five meters in the air, and not even CR would have been able to get it. It was sailing away, and Cuadrado was heading towards the goal without a chance in hell of getting it. (Hell, the penalty would have made more sense if Cuadrado was going away from the goal to receive the ball).
The "grab" was barely a hand touch (which you will see Juve players do several times in the match without the Inter players diving for a foul, or they will, and then we can see if the law is being applied with any consistency). In fact, you can see more grabs, pushes, and touches like that in one corner with more force, but they don't give fouls because of it.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Curious to see where Ronaldo will go next. His contract with Juve ends in 2022 and I don't think they will give him a new one given how high his salary is.
Maybe PSG. Imagine Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappé and Neymar in one team.
