I think that even if Lazio somehow wins, we don't look like we could beat Inter in the Derby.
Also, this match exposes a lack of quality in the team, especially regarding the limited back-up for Calabria and our sometimes useless wingers.
Given our losses this year, we are probably going to get a third scored against us.
I don't think we had a single shot on the target. This is not a team that can win the league.
this almost reminded me of atalanta game . and yea no shots on target no midfield or defense could soak up intense pressing from spezia or took advantage upfront ... rebic quality and willingless is highlighted.
on calabria absense, i never thought also that he could be this important figure that was missing in the game
anyway this team has been very sloppy and careless since jan

There is no chance we were losing this game if Chiellini didn't do that. Feels like a total wasted opportunity. At least a loss at the San Paolo is normal, but Milan lost to Spezia
Anyway, forza Lazio.

Congrats to Inter. Surely they should go on to win the league now, they've been the better than in the cup vs Juve, and the latter just dont look that good still.

Question to the Juve fans, if Juve fail to win the league, but finish second, would Pirlo keep the job u think? I mean is your board the trigger happy or more patient type?

Bogus Penalty to Inter.
Hoedt clearly played the ball. A balanced game so far, with the best chance to Inter and with a great Handanaovic interception.
Lukaku scores and Inter wins the league.

One of the worst things about the loss to Inter in the Coppa Italia is that it allowed Erikson the perfect chance to get back into the team.
He is making Inter play much better than they did any time last year.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
And now Inter get an incorrect offside goal.
If the ball is played from an inter player and deflects from a Lazio player, it is not considered to be played from a Lazio player.
It is astounding that the refs cannot understand such a simple rule.

Oh well.
Congratulation to Robes for winning the league.
I guess Conte deserves his massive salary. Milan are not built to win the league, unfortunately.

How or when did Roma get so good to challenge for the scudetto? or at least the 2nd place.
Very nice to see tbh.

As Robes says, not possible for them to challenge for a title while being so bad in big matches, way below the other big teams. 4th place will be an achievement for them.
Napoli or Atalanta should get CL before Roma.

Cant say. It depends on many things. Last season we won the scudetto but failed in CL and looked "stuck".
This season everything the management speaks its all more positive and there are sensations that Pirlo is figuring out himself and the team quite well after an expected rough start. So if we finish on a good note, even after losing the scudetto to Inter, I expect there is a good chance he stays.
We won the supercup, are in the final of the cup, and have the CL knockouts this week. A lot of key matches left to see.

Laughable penalty, and even more laughable, frankly outrageous, decision to let that offside goal count.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
We're barely in the challenge for the CL let alone the scudetto
We have only 2 healthy CBs and an EL match against a good Braga side coming up. That's the concern right now.

1. clearly tackles the ball first, not a foul
2. and since when do deflections nullify offside?

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
That penalty is clear.
About offside, I can't believe we are talking about it in a VAR era.
That goal was convalided after VAR.
VAR is not discretionalty, it's scientific. It can't be wrong about offsides. And yes, it is good according to rules.

What's scientific is determining an offside position, not deciding what's an offside offense.
Or are you saying Lukaku was not in an offside position?
As I understood, the goal was given as, despite Lukaku being offside, it was okayed for the ball having ricoched from a Lazio player? Which would be a wrong call, period.
edit: Robes you are right, Lukaku is onside when Brozovic touches the ball. The video I watched first didn't show it clearly and the commentators described it wrongly.
Still never a penalty though

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Anyway after an underperformed year ( sure , he doesn't look like same player last year ) , Skriniar is back on his old great levels.
Not just yesterday ( best one after Lukaku imo), but the whole year was brillaint so far.
Tottenham were close to sign him and I can imagine regrets now..
We need of this in derby, he didn't play the first leg due to covid

Didnt watch the game so I didnt realise that Milan had 0 shots on goal vs Spezia
I don't think any of us have posted here about him, but Italiano,
Sacchi's newest fanboy, deserves lots of praise. He is getting progressively more hyped in the media as one of the most exciting up and coming coaches.
2-0 Milan
2-1 Sassuolo
3-0 Roma
2-1 Napoli
0-0 Atalanta
Its a pretty absurd record for a straight out of Serie B Spezia. Better big game record than Roma and probably other big teams.
Took Trapani from C to B in one season, took Spezia from B to A for the first time ever in one season, now will secure Spezia's serie A status comfortably.
Can see Napoli appointing him.
