Yeah, I completely agree. To be fair, though, Tottenham have strengthened their midfield recently. Unfortunately for them, Alderwereld isn’t getting any younger, and they still have friggin Dier on their books. I just don’t think they have the right balance to be a trophy contender.

It would help if Gareth Bale miraculously rediscovers some of his prime form, but even if that were to happen, it’s evident that he no longer has quite the same explosiveness. And then, there’s his fragile physique.

Even more so than individual quality, consistency is what typically makes a winning team, and I really don’t see enough potential for it in this Tottenham side.

The real kneejerk was the Everton are gonna win the league lads. They are not even getting top 4. Watch this space, Spurs is gonna be 1st or 2nd this season. With his preferred XI, Mourinho has turned them to a very well oiled machine. The comments after the Antwerp match pretty much confirmed some players he will never play again. I expect them to make some depth signings in January.

The spurs first eleven is quite good, player by player. Solid enough to challenge most teams in the league. The only weakness is a CB. Depth wise i think they're decent too. There are decent backup options for most players, except again at CB.

The main issue for Mou is getting those glaring defensive mistakes that have plagued them for the past 1.5 seasons under control. There's one or two every match and it costs them a lot of points.

United pulling Everton apart down their right. Two very nice worked goals. Mata floating over to the opposite side and Martial dropping off is outnumbering Everton in midfield.

The sports package that includes Premier League football here, costs about £53 a month now. Thank god I have friends who pay for it, because there's no way I'd pay that. La Liga/Ligue 1/Bundesliga and Champions League are all in separate packages ffs.

It is kind of tragicomical when you have to bring on Iwobi in the hope that he dribbles people lmao

Everton: pass, pass, pass, attempted dribble, attempted cross to Calvert-Lewin, fail, repeat.

They're a much blunter team without Richarlison.

Also love Iwobi but the man still struggles to beat players 1v1.

First goal for Cavani. Put on a plate for him by Fernandes.

So much for the early season Everton hype.

It's just ghoulish overkill.

I'm conveying my contempt for those who predicted a title push by a team lead by James and coached by one of the biggest league underachievers in history.

Mata as a right wing, McTominay and Fred as deep-lying midfielders. Man United may have won, but I think this match highlights their limitations in personnel. The match schedule is pretty brutal this season.

I imagine a team like, Man City will benefit from it as the season advances, since they have the depth to deal with tight match schedules without sacrificing too much quality.
