UEFA Champions League Final 2020: PSG vs Bayern Munich

I'm just hoping for a high scoreline, 4-3 or something to keep us entertained and also to be very close toward the very end and not one-sided like the rest of the match-ups.

That said I agree Bayern didn't seem exactly defensively solid in either match

4-2-3-1 is a counter attacking formation which invites the opponent to attack so the team can exploit the opened space for counter attacks better. Problem with Bayern they need 2 lightning fast technical CBs. Boateng is over the hill, Süle is an accident waiting to happen.
I have to say Lyon played extremely well. Aouar is a top talent, I was very impressed with him.
A team plays as well as the opponent allows to so it wasn't just Bayern being defensively weak Lyon put them under pressure for 90 minutes. Kudos to them for a semi final worthy display

One of those rare (very) occasions I will bleed for Bayern. @Hapless_Hans, you have one job. On a side note, Doha would have been a very suitable venue for this game.

While this is true it's obviously not going to happen. No matter what players like to say it's clear that at least some of them won't play at their absolute best in a game they are expected to win very comfortable. A start like against Barca could easily happen though and if Bayern concede an early goal or 2 it's going to be interesting.

At the end of the day though Bayern will obviously win the final. They cannot be defeated no matter who they are up against.

I don't consider Griezmann as a bench player though, the coach just mistreated him. He's been poor but lets be honest you cant expect much when Setien fielded him at left wing

You can put R. Madrid in same category as Barca with Bale 100M on golf course, James 76M lurking over at Atleti and Jovic 60M out partying during Covid.

Maybe the midfield battle is the most important tactical point, for who controls the ball. In this match it will be a mess on the wings

Paris have been my predicted winners since the group stages, over in GL but keyword is prediction and not based on how I rate them.

And as a team they mostly are a collection of individuals who aren't very impressive when they take on teams that take it to them directly.

A bad feeling is natural in such a big occasion so it would not be surprising the least bit if Bayern do end up winning and convincingly so.

I guess it's fluid, but that still would place your bench higher in terms of money spent

In France it's very divided. Half the country hate PSG but at the same time, it's also a matter of national pride. Only Marseille ever won it, and they are a good for nothing club nowadays.
