This reminds me of a Rummenigge quote prior to the return leg against Madrid in Munich. He said something along the lines of "It will be hot enough for the trees to burn in Munich". Then he got his ass smashed to smithereens and we all know what happened that night.
Of course Bayern will destroy Villarreal in the return leg, but your quote reminded me of Rummenigge's.
oh the memories

Kidnap Don Jupp from his retirement home, if you can't find Hitzfeld in his Alpine retreat. Do it now for the glory of Bavaria!
Flick is sadly spoken for until he's fired after the group stage exit in Qatar.

Villarreal are the modern day Atleti. Very astute defensively. I bet Simeone wishes he was coaching Villarreal

Nagelsmann is Hoffenheim level, let's be honest. Can maybe take over Southampton once Hasenhüttl retires.

There are zero Spanish teams in the semis as neither of them are confirmed.
Also, come on Bill. Atleti gonna all of a sudden attack City and Villareal would holding off Bayern is an extremely tall order

Re: UEFA Champions League 2021/22 QF - Villarreal CF v FC Bayern
This is what you get when you put a clueless man like Salihamidžić in charge. I would say he is the main culprit not Nagelsmann and should be sacked immediately.
He thought signing the next big thing from Bundesliga 'rivals' would still work. Maybe to win the pointless league that has well and truly fallen behind even Uber Eats league but not against the bigger teams. Last year's miserable defeat to PSG should have been a wake up call already.

Just saw the highlights. God almighty, it was worse than I thought. Villarreal should have scored 5 goals. They will rue the missed chances
