Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Spezia surprised to see them playing really openly instead of just defending, that gave juve ample opportunities to score ; morata looked good he was given so much luxury by Spezia. Chiesa was poor in finishing. think this game changed for juve drastically after Ronaldo introduction.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Fiorentina sigh.... they made life so damn easy for Roma. The Fiorentina midfield and defense was so messed up that the space Roma got was almost as if some players for fiorentina was like playing for Roma. could have been much worse if not for Dragowski this would have been 5 - 0 for roma.
and will never understand iachini. this guy puts ribery and callejon as two forwards whom both are mostly players who enjoys playing on their respective flanks and with no real target man on goal. then takes out both of them and puts in 3 bloody strikers .... what a clueless guy. even milenkovic had a bad game today being caught out in position.
Fiorentina clearly should be at top 6 with the players in disposal.
On one hand i can admire comisso for being a owner who would want to give a coach fair chance without taking hasty decision ; on the other hand, at most iachini after taking over montella should have been just a caretaker and then they should have gone for good coaches to hand the team over.
can't see fiorentina finishing top half of the table as long as iachini is on the helm

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Spellbinded that Serie A teams still don't get the lore behind Beppe Iachini.
Iachini is not meant to guide Serie A teams to the top 4 let alone top 10. His ideas are too provincial, safe and limited no matter what logo he puts on his cap for any team he coaches.
But the moment his team reach relegation he undergoes a metamorphosis into Sir Alex Ferguson and will keep the team afloat no matter what, and can beat any team in the world to do so.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
There is no better evaluator of fullbacks than Paolo Maldini
First Theo
Now Dalot
Honestly he could get anybody and i would trust him, he could get anyone for RB/LB and i know he will be good
Heck, even Simone Kjaer, a CB was a masterstroke.
His selection in defenders is impeccable (Duarte was a Leonardo purchase)
So good to have someone like him on board, he really is working passionately, knows the club inside out, knows what is needed, really loves the club and wants to see it back on top. So fortunate to have him.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Maldini I have gone from being jubilant in his appointment and praising, to being skeptical and disappointed, to now cementing in my mind he knows what he is doing.
His ideas can be rather behind and not exactly forward thinking but given what he is given to work with in these current conditions it is hard to judge.
But from a leadership perspective he handles delicate matters as well as he did a player.
Pioli too is showing his ability but his problem is he never can keep it going beyond 2 max 3 years.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
i guess now until the end of the season i can start thinking about that i said about maldini - massara XD
that being said, we knew this that last season success is no guarantee to this season's progress and it would be square one and so far everyone is working cohesively. what i had expected of rangnick to pull of is exactly what maldini - massara is doing but more importantly i never in million years thought calhanouglu, kessie, calabria would play the best ever season in milan shirt after 3 season of failure.
ibra has lot to do with this, and pioli for finding a suitable ways to make this team tick. Ibra and Kjaer has become amazing leader at the back and front added by president kessie owning our midfield.
Also from management, Geoffery Mondanca who is our chief scount (former monaco scout for discovering the likes of mbappe, martial etc) and maldini overseeing operation to find quality talents on good value along with massara has helped. Our team is still incomplete at the back and front, if we can channel past december with good haul of max points, we should be in good shape.
though on the downside, we may be resigned to loose calhanouglu by jan or june (contract expiring at June 2021) and he is holding our team for 7 milion a year. justified for him to ask raise from 2.5 million due to his performance but insane for him to hold hostage, because prime pirlo at milan was not even earning that much (6 million) seedorf at 4.5 million, nesta 4 million, i tihnk only kaka was earning 8.5 million. so to suddenly demand 7 million, well think he can start looking for new club
sorry but i dont want to see our club facing the similarities on how arsenal has been dire to get rid of ozil

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
it's not acceptable to lose to this Juve side that's really not well organized ffs
but then there's Ronaldo being in the right place and scoring these billiard goals
the way this is going, Pirlo will probably win the CL 3 times in a row Zidane style
with Ronaldo scoring a free kick goal vs Bayern

All this time I thought the Correa from Sevilla was Angel Correa on loan from Atletico and I was wondering how the fuck he ended up at Lazio
Now I realize it's two different players and he's not called Angel, and I have no idea how the real Angel Correa even looks like

I had the same confusion when Lazio signed him, thought it was the same Correa.
Joaquin Correa is pretty legit. Not a phenomenon but a good player for Lazio.

I remember seeing him for Sevilla and thinking "oh so now out on loan Angel Correa is less of a headless chicken than I remember him to be for Atletico" lol

Wonder why this isn't our away shirt by default. Instead of this autumnal horror designed by Adidas.
Morata is involved enough, you can see he is comfortable here. Although he screwed up a counter as i type this

Bentancur i hope this was his last match for us. Sadly not good enough. This is not even the real Juve, imagine conceding goals every match, and cannot lock an advance.
Heavy defense is effective if you can at least control the ball.
