Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Basically like this, there’s no way the season will run according to Napoli’s interpretation of the rules
It’s very suspect to make this decision the night before the match, when the team is about to depart
Milan playing with cases, other teams in Europe playing with cases of covid. That’s the reality
It’s very foolish of ADL, but I want this match played. I want to see an amazing race from the Napoli team to get to Torino just to lose anyways, I think that would be poetic justice
This is definitely going to be a recurring theme of the season, especially with international breaks, champions and Europa league matches etc. Cases will unfortunately be there and the league was clear on the response

How is it Lega's failure when they made a protocol with the backing of the clubs and the government?
We might as well cancel Serie A right now if Napoli's interpretation is used. Everyone else is playing by the same set of rules.

well I hate Juve but the disgrace is De Laurentiis here
there is no reason for Napoli to not going to Torino for Juve match
Months to agree a protocol and De Laurentiis doesnt respect it to the first situation
Ruining the league

I read they will postpone ??
I'd rather actually play the damn match. But i'm not against a free 3 pts, also if the virus is really spreading in Napoli's locker room they could infect our players.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
There won’t be a game today for sure
Looks like Juve will record the 3-0 and Napoli will appeal. I hope they just postpone to avoid the obvious narrative that will emerge because Juventus is involved
However, in my view, there’s no way the league will be played like this. Milan playing matches without Ibra and travelling for the Europa League without complaining at all. It says a lot about the league and there needs to be consistency, which now there effectively will not be any
We were robbed of a good game today

Would love to know why, given that Juve haven't actually done (and can't) anything
This is between Napoli, Lega, and the government.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Juve actually chose to play despite the situation, fully knowing Napoli could not travel. Sure the league is incompetent but announcing that you are going to play in such a context, no matter what, is a bit of a joke imo.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
A bit of a joke is ADL trying to postpone the game the moment a positive case was confirmed, before even ASL chiming in, when his Napoli played against Genoa in opposite conditions. Or when Milan is playing without Ibra because of it.
If Juve goes against Lega and doesnt show up without reason they forfeit the game.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Yeah, Juve with zero honour here.
Just want to exploit the situation and take the 3 points.
Even announcing the lineup knowing Napoli is not coming, truly pathetic.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
Didn’t take long for that narrative
With Napoli’s interpretation of the rules (bullshit btw, absolutely no way and no way this needed to be a last minute call), the league simply will not be played

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
looks like the local health authority could intervene but i read something like lega Serie a protocol can override govt and local ones so obviously there is confusion.
if local health authority didnt allow, then wonder if Napoli clearly said hey contact them and let us leave for match to serie a comission because rest of the team tested negative ; the ones with postiives remains home.
this is a logistical nightmare lol this should have done way ahead of time also to get necessary approval because Napoli players didn't get tested and got tested positive now or the rest of the squad tests turned negative so it was not as if it happened now and test has to happen twice before deemed safe.
Anyway if Napoli were stopped by local health authority then i dont tihnk they are at fault, its between local health authority and lega serie a
comission to come up with solution
i also cant see how this is juve fault because they were asked to show up as per requirement and they did. its upto serie a governing body to say yes or no and they say yes the game will go ahead as planned. as for Napoli knowing the statement by governing body not showing up, they can later present the case and appeal in court saying we were not allowed by local health authroity even if we wanted to get our negatively tested players onboard.

Re: Calcio Saga 20/21
health and safety well being of players comes first and i understand the local health authority stance, and also Napoli but the lack of dialogue, discussion, clear process, approvals and logistical approaches by serie a is a disappointing one.
Then there is actually UEFA one too ...
