English football will not return until April 30 "at the earliest", it has been decided at an emergency meeting between Premier League clubs, but the 2019/20 season will be extended indefinitely.

Officials from all 20 English top-flight clubs spoke over a conference call on Thursday morning to co-ordinate a strategy for completing the fixture list in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic which has led to the suspension of almost all sport.

Anyone know what the bookies will do about those season bets like league and cup winner bets? Refund or will they go with the announced winners I wonder... would gladly take refund since most of my bets were wrong this season Razz

Too early to take these resumption dates seriously. clubs, orgs are making what if plans, but nothing can be believed until we see a valid forecasted end to this! Plus we still have USA and UK not doing nearly enough testing so noone knows how bad situation is.

I must say when it was announced all sports would be suspended indefinitely I was feeling dread, but honestly I havent missed it all.

I wonder how much viewership actually returns when all of this ends.

Russia is building an emergency hospital outside Moscow expected to be ready in 3 weeks. they are behind the curve ....we'll have a better picture in a couple of weeks.

I just wonder which country will be the next Italy.

First week end was tough, not gonna lie

Since then i surprisingly don't miss it too much. But once it returns, the audiences for any event will explode i think.

On a side note it's funny how NFL acts as in parallel world

Read today that Ramsey donated 10k pounds to a Welsh hospital or something in Wales. What a weak ass donation from someone earning so much.

Turin, 28 March 2020 - Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that, due to the current global health emergency is preventing the performance of the sporting activity, it has reached an understanding with the players and the coach of the First Team regarding their compensation for the residual portion of the current sport season.

The understanding provides for the reduction of the compensation for an amount equal to the monthly payments of March, April, May and June 2020. In the coming weeks, personal agreements with the players and the coach will be finalised, as required by the current regulations.

The economic and financial effects of the understanding reached are positive for about EUR 90 million for the 2019/2020 financial year.

Should the current season's matches be rescheduled, the Club will negotiate in good faith with the players and the coach conditional increases of compensations according to the actual resumption and finalisation of official competitions.

Juventus would like to thank the players and the coach for their commitment at a difficult time for everyone.
