These last 2 Chiesa plays Proud
Lirola became a very nice player. I thought he would come back to Juve eventually

Recent spells of possession are testament to what we can create under Giampaolo and even under pressure but come so little and in between a mess of incohesive chaos, I already don't see it improving in a squad not exactly known for their footballing IQ.

His system is a work of art clearly but he is shoehorning it through a round hole and won't adapt fast enough

we dont have players with basic football 101 quality, can keep ball control ... i mean we dont have ball playing midfielders

and then giampaolo is making players keep the possession when they cant even keep a ball for 5 sec or make passes

no visionary players either so that is not helping matters when u keep ball but no end products with build up...

lot of problems all over the pitch and that goes to show that milan hasn't learned for years

The only decent chance we've had was Suso glancing shot (go figure)

We are the lowest team when it comes to shots on target

You cant play possession football with players that need 5-6 touches to orient the ball.

Missed the first half but reading the comments seem like I didn't miss much.

Is there a way to apply for the coaching job? I'm legit certain I can do a better job. No joke.

No doubt that's a red.

2-0

Chiesa run and shot and Castrovili scoring the rebound.

Is that it for Giampaolo?

The marriage did not work even if the last two matches you do see the work in improving the passing. Milan players are so poorly suited to his football.

Gattuso wasn't bad at all in comparison. Did so much better and players at least tried under him.

This Milan looks garbage.

I don't think anyone claimed that Gattuso did particularly poorly, the thing is Gattuso maxed out. He taught the players to run and run and run and that's all. No particular mind to coach at a higher level.

This squad is poorly constructed and not fitting for a more complex game, at least not now. It would take time.

Calhanoglu and Suso aren't defending at all, the two pos that should've been sold this summer are still starting games. Get Mourinho in and cleanse the team of these bums ffs.

Gattuso's tenure will not be seen poorly or has.

Just fell off when he resorted into his shell and like the player, let the emotions in him get them better of him in a demotivated side.

He has clear potential to be a solid manager if not very good. But his rigidity to some ideas and his temperament is what will get in the way.

Giampaolo is literally doing what one would do picking a Tier 2 team and having them play beyond their means, footballing wise.

The technique is there in the squad, more than enough. Just not the brains, and more accurately the combination of them simply is unrealistic and does not work well or compliment one another.

Rightful win for Montella and 2 wins in a row. Ribery-Cheisa is the most potent duo in Serie A at the moment and would be more recognised if they had a finisher to pair them.
