This is Alfredo Donnarumma, unrelated to the more famous Donnarumma brothers Gigio and Antonio.

He was Brescia's top scorer in B, now started well in A. It will be interesting to see what Balotelli can do with him on this team.

Brescia is strolling through Serie A this season. Great football and even effective, no chance they go down.

Very impressive performance by Roma.

Dominating from all sides of the field. Kolarov has been a constant thorn on the opposition's side whilst Dzeko goal aside has been a consistent presence up front in his link-up play to bring them forward and keep them there with his unrelenting physicality.

MOTM so far has been Pellegrini who is just so complete and looks relatively comfortable more so when in advanced positions and if further developed will no doubt be a midfield star beyond just Calcio.

Shame the game ended so early like this and basically ends the game for me.

Fonseca needs to stick with Pellegrini as the AM instead of pushing him to the double pivot to play Zaniolo in the hole imo. Pellegrini is Roma's best player in the role, and best player in the team when he plays comfortably for that matter.

I used to think Pellegrini may just be a greater success in a deeper role given the way he pivots his body looking for passes and his impressive vision to cover both sides from there in terms of passes but in closer spaces he seems to inversely open up and advances to the box more naturally, along with his composure so I have to agree there.

Sadly the most loyal players in Roma (Florenzi) are also the ones victims of being tinkered for sacrificial positions and I sincerely hope Pellegrini does not have the same thing that happened to Florenzi's career, with his RB role switch.

Berardi makes it 4-1.

Dzeko looking lethal after his two successive goals in two matches in the international break for Bosnia (despite Pjanic being their best by far in both matches) and should be a constant threat this season if his temper does not let him recede as it can during his career.

Definitely not the dead 2nd half I expected with chances from both sides. Wish Smalling was not injured to see how he slots in but that will have to wait.

Pellegrini can be great as a mezzala, but not as a CM in the double pivot. In this 4-2-3-1 he will be good anywhere because he is better than the other midfielders, but his best is in the AM role.

Cristante already took that "hit" moving to DM when he used to be the most forward midfielder for Atalanta. Natural, since at Roma you have Pellegrini and Zaniolo, and Cristante is strong and versatile. But Pellegrini shouldn't be limited like that, at least not unless Zaniolo explodes as AM.
