Australia deserves this fully. Should have won headingly too if we are being honest.

It was England vs Smith again lol.
But Archer ffs Amazing to have a young talented bowler in the team who is actually motivated. He will go far.

Also Sam Curran showing why he should have played more.
Nobody is better than taking players from other countries than England.

Enough time for Smith to be 300 not out, I'm sure.
But as per usual, he'll run out of partners and England will win by one run.

You rarely see someone get stumped now. That was great by Leach and Bairstrow
3 gone. This could end today if Smith runs out of partners

Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket
How many times has Broad dismissed Warner this summer? Seems like nearly every match.
Broad's been our best bowler tbh. He's really stepped-up in Anderson's absence.

Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket
Definitely about Broad. I don't think any of Broad, Archer or Woakes have been bad this tournament.
Feels like Australia have a huge crack in the batting line up which Smith covers most of the time. They can arguably be worse than our batting.
Anyways this pitch is increasingly becoming favourable for batsmen. Nothing much happening for the bowlers.

Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket
Some England news.
Rory Burns, Joe Denly, Sam Curran and Jofra Archer have been given central contracts by the ECB, so they're definite picks in any Test squad for the foreseeable future.
Moeen Ali is taking an "indefinite break" from Test cricket. Jack Leach has an incremental contract and will pretty much take his place.
Liam Plunkett hasn't been offered a new ODI contract.
Eoin Morgan will continue as ODI captain and will captain the T20 side, too.

T20 finals day happening right now.
Nottinghamshire have just choked their semi big time. Were coasting until the final three overs then imploded. Needed 2 off the last ball and didn't even get bat on ball.
Worcestershire Rapids into the final to defend their trophy.
Derbyshire Falcons vs Essex Eagles next.

Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket
Essex need 49 off 30 to win.
Pitch is slow, ball isn't coming onto the bat very well and they're five wickets down.
Not confident.

Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket
Never in doubt
Simon Harmer. Amazing with the ball, pulls out a match-winning innings in the final.
Now for a title shoot-out with Somerset next week, weather allowing.
Can't think of a better summer of cricket tbh.

Essex almost bottled it but Sir Alistair Cook was on hand to steady the ship.
Next season can't possibly live up this one.

Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket
Sakib has been banned for two years for not reporting to ICC the approach of an bookie, two years ago. He certainly made a mistake there, one would wonder if it would have happened:
#1. If he weren't involved in the recent players' revolt
#2. If he he had contested in December 30, 2018 a la Mashrafi

Poor by Paine. Should have let Warner go for the record.
