Re: meaningless la liga
Mariano making excellent runs, feel bad for him cause right now besides ceballos our midfield is garbage.
Bale, Modric, Carvajal, and casemiro are playing very bad. It's killing our play. Kroos not pressing properly and has been poor defensively
Bale, Modric, Carvajal, and

So how exactly is Casemiro playing very bad from the bench?

Losing to a side with Bebe in it, sigh. Need Hans to come and tell me how the shape is tbh.

Modric, it's time to say goodbye. If he wants to stay he can be our iniesta nothing more. Rayo are playing an ultra high line. Imagine what Vini could do with this team. Instead we have Bale who apart from missing 1v1 cant even give one decent cross

The weekend Barcelona won the title and watching them take on Pool in the CL semis, our team manage to be losing 1-0 at Rayo. Fucking Rayo. Sigh.

Bale's crosses are hilarious. I actually rated his crossing ability, at one point in time.

Re: meaningless la liga
We could play another 3 days and we wouldn't score. We dont only need one striker, we need 2. Two starters and one back up. They same underperformes under all 3 coaches and only one is protecting them.
I expect a clear out in the summer
Bale gtfo
Modric goodbye
Marcelo goodbye
Mariano third choice or goodbye
Lucas goodbye
Asensio gtfo
Courtois goodbye
I am done with these losers. OUT

Re: meaningless la liga
courtois actually played a fine game, saved a 1v1 early, and made 0 mistake. Not his fault if Vallejo can't defend

Re: meaningless la liga
Vallejo caused the foul but it was Carvajal who messed up thus putting his CBs under serious stress. Also, to think Hala wants Varane gone, oof.
Here's another thing, I always love these Zizou inspired tactics. A 4-4-2 with none of our midfielders capable of being wingers and our one winger as a CF.
And finally, Perez and JAS "planning" has been absolute shit this season and it has finally unraveled nicely for all to see. Rayo won a match vs Real Madrid in 20+ years. Beautiful.

Re: meaningless la liga
the season's been over for weeks now, whether we win by scoring ten or lose by 3, doesn't matter. it stopped mattering since we lost the last clasico to barcelona and got knocked out by ajax. as the thread mentions, everything since then is meaningless so i can't get bothered nor excited by these games. i do feel a little sorry for the fans who get to go to the stadium to watch games that don't matter, played by one of the worst squads the club has ever assembled.
right now, i'm just waiting for the summer, and i believe many of the players are waiting for this season to be over with officially as well.

Re: meaningless la liga
Also, benching guys like Mariano, Llorente, and ceballos for like a month and then bringing them back out in an away game was a sure thing recipe for disaster. And the 4312 is a garbage tactic lol

Re: meaningless la liga
Against Rayo... a team that is getting relegated. No matter how little some players have gotten in terms of game time, this should NEVER happen. Perfect opportunity to shine in fact. However, Bale, Modric, Kroos, Marcelo, etc. can't be bothered.
ZZ is basically looking to see who has character. All these guys are on the sale block. Yet they don't care. There's nothing to play for other than pride and they have none.

Re: meaningless la liga
I like Brahim, he is a good young player, he is alays trying to take on his man 1v1 and he is a good dribbler. He can create with the ball, and those are qualities that made Vinicius successful this season.
I am not sure why it's so complicated to understand that wingers of that ilk are invaluable. How many forwards in the team do we have who can go on 1v1 like that and be dangerous lol. I like him a lot more than i like a player like Asensio, whom i still dont know what he is good at, except for a massive shot.

A lot of these players, when we ask them to find themselves a new club, they will understand why

Re: meaningless la liga
It doesn't matter at all if you don't have a final product... i care more about players who actually do something useful when they make a decision as opposed to showing technique and speed for absolutely no result.
And for those saying "they're just kids"... go learn somewhere else. This is Real Madrid not a developmental team.

Man United are in the exact same situation. At least, we have a wage structure. Their wage imbalance is cancerous.

Re: meaningless la liga
Man U is playing for CL. They are right in the thick of it as they're only 2 points from 4th place. Plenty (and I mean a lot) on the line there.
First time: ZZ rips into the players https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2019/04/28/5cc61af822601d76568b4627.html
Bale especially.

Re: meaningless la liga
They're not going to get a CL spot. Pogba has been in hardly trying mode for a few months now, and his indifference seems to be gradually spreading to everyone else. Sanchez is a glorified waste of space, and even Lukaku looks like he's given up. Half of their team look like they need a motivational Coach. Then again, I suppose it might have to do with priorities and outside distractions, more so than an inability to motivate themselves.

Re: meaningless la liga
Lukaku actually looked fantastic today. Rashford is a streaky kid... and he's on a poor streak.
Problem is mostly De Gea recently. He's cost several games with awful errors. After that, it's Lingard, Herrera, Matic, Martial, Young and Shaw being just average footballers.
There's no talent on that team other than a handful of players.

Re: meaningless la liga
I didn't watch any matches today, was busy with other things and came home late. I only just made it back home for the remainder of our second half. I think Man United fans have been harsh on Lukaku. He has his shortcomings, but criticizing his general level of motivation makes about as much sense as to criticize De Gea for his recent run of mistakes. That said, they have a ton of players who have looked completely jaded recently, and Lukaku is the latest addition to that group. If they all put in a decent shift in one of these recent losses, they would've been in a much more comfortable position, right now.

Re: meaningless la liga
De Gea has been atrocious dude... not just small errors. We're talking howlers. Another one today. They win the game today and are in 4th if he plays just decently. He basically wrapped it up for Barca too with those howlers.
He's been really really poor.

Re: meaningless la liga
Of course, his mistakes have been costly and he deserves criticism for that, but a lot of people seem to want him out, which I think is completely retarded considering how consistent he's been over the past 6 or so years. It would've been a different matter if his performances indicated a lack of motivation or a decline in his physical abilities, which isn't the case. He'll likely bounce back. If things don't change by next season, then I would to a larger degree understand wanting him out.

Re: meaningless la liga
If playing for Madrid or Utd were a dead end job making just above minimum wage, I could see the motivational issues there. Not sure how these men could feel unmotivated to kick a ball for either club tbh. I could understand not being skilled enough (see Lingard and Lucas) but unmotivated? Right...

I read a summary of ZZ's presser, and man was he much more honest than usual. I like that. Definitely worth a read or a watch.
