I could only manage to watch Diaz for roughly 20 min before he was taken off, but during that time there was nothing special about him. Absolutely nothing. I need to see more of him though, as 20 min is not enough to be harsh on the kid.

So, this was the end to an abysmal season that could've been easily avoided with a more active board. Take it in, reflect on it and swallow it. The next time you feel like blindly defending the club for making inexcusable and easily to avoid mistakes, remember this moment and the dreadful state your club is in right now.

i'm glad this sham of a season its over. well at least to me anyway it was over since the loss against ajax. anything we did since then matters very little to me. worst season ever. let's hope the madrid hierarchy learns a lesson from this. i feel if we had the right team from top to bottom we could have competed with the rivals, and atleti in 2 straight seasons, end up above us in the standings. if zidane is smart, he should recognize that he must allow competition and not put blind faith in the old guard

Sad to see Keylord leave. Wonderful keeper who the club tried to push out for over 5 season. Will be remembered for being part of the team that won 3 consecutive CL titles. Got a deserved standing ovation today. Gracias tico man

keylor was never the goalie the club wanted, they wnated to move on from iker but couldn't make the move for who they wanted at the time which was de gea. so whether for right or wrong keylor was supposed to be a stop gap. a sequence of events including the fax machine and zidane's backing saw him stay on longer than the club would have liked imo. he may not be the best there is and he's certainly no prime iker, but you have to give keylor props for keeping his composure taking into account all he's gone through with us

Why is it so hard to give Keylor the respect he deserves? Dude, there was absolutely a time where he was the best gk in the world. Especially in big games.. he’s had to save us from brain farts from ramos and varane. i’m talking about consecutive double saves.

This is supposed to be a prime courtouis vs a past it navas and there is a CLEAR difference in quality.

Cause courtouis hasn’t been good. Awful off his line and beat easily on low shots. Not a good combo in la liga.

The thing with being that size... It's understandable that you have some blind spots on low shots. But you SHOULD be completely dominant in the air and coming out. He's not. He's almost shy.

Yup.. just not aggressive at all. I think it has to do with the fact that he is so damn slow. He looked good under conte and his park the bus methods. kepa is currently doing a better job at chelsea.

Because the club, in its infinite wisdom, made an unwilling competition between a fan fav in Navas and Conetois. If Conetois had been impressive, like Vini and Diaz impressive, the noise would have been a bit muted.

But Conetois has been shit and whenever Navas starts, he shows he is better than him. And to make matters worse, we're not winning so that just adds more fuel to the fire. We should not even be having competition between keepers ffs but here we are.

And yes, Conetois has been shit and I have no idea why we thought signing him was a good idea. He was meh at Chelsea for a while too.

i respect navas. its difficult to want to stay and fight at a club when you're not wanted , and he is a good goalie, probably as good as or even better than courtois, but i don't recall him being the best gk in the world (if he was, madrid won't be trying to let him go at every turn). i also don't think his nationality has anything to do with this. it was all political, madrid always wanted de gea, keylor unfortunately for him was just a stop gap

the moment de gea fell through and couldn't be resolved, flo jumped on the kepa bandwagon. i don't think flo was that keen on courtois either. i actually think its the fact that he was coming from levante that flo hasn't looked at him as that kind of star goalie. he was actually very very good at levante

i would pay to read a book by keylor detailing his time at madrid. especially his mindset during the fax machine and kepa debacles
