I was gonna write this is a match between a team that can't attack vs a team that won't. Now that Leganes took the lead, it is probably gonna continue like that lol.

Well, this was as boring as one can imagine.

I don't know what our midfielders do other than Modric.  In fact, Modric is NOT a AM... yet he's forced to be the AM because who the heck else is going to do it.

Valverde has no position.  Ceballos has no position.  Isco has no position.  Asensio has no position.  All these players bring a package that actually doesn't allow them to fill a functional role, let alone be the best on the pitch at it.  What are they supposed to be exactly? Where would you play them where you could say they're a "natural fit" because of their skillset and experience?

Casemiro has a position... but I'll be frank:  His lack of ball skills is just too much.  The man can't do a thing with the ball at his feet.

What are you suggesting Sports. Should they get rid of all 7 or 8 of them?

as a matter of fact, yes.  Loan the young ones out.  See if they can figure out their roles.  Only one who I like a lot is Llorente... and that's because his best position is clear.  I like Reguilon a lot too.  Those are the two keepers for me.  Odriozola deserves another look although he had a hard time.

I'd get rid of Isco, Asensio and Ceballos.  Loan out Valverde.  Keep Llorente.

Yeah, that's my thoughts. I know I should not have any thoughts about any of these games but I cannot help but feel Zizou is watching them and wondering if to just scrap the entire midfield and get a whole new one.

Valverde is quite clearly a midfielder in the latter day Schweinsteiger mold, best positions being LCM/RCM in a trivote, or CM in a double pivot.

I'd also get rid of Isco, Ceballos, and Asensio. I understand the logic behind keeping Llorente over Valverde, he's more experienced and you know what he can offer for sure, but Valverde has more upside and i don't know if Llorente is good enough to ignore that. Llorente is mostly a defensive player, not a creative one, and Zizou doesn't seem too impressed, we shall see.

You're also infatuated by Valverde so obviously you'll want him over Llorente. Either/or is cool with me tbh as both showing they really can kick it at this club once given the opportunity.

Whatever you do, just get rid of Valverde and Llorente pls. Everytime I lurk in here I have to wonder why our coach is in your starting XI. Alongside Fernando Llorente no less.

Both have been poor this season Hala, Kroos he good when he gets on the ball but he cant deal with pressure and he jogs when he is off the ball.
