Ever since they know nice lad Ole has got the job. Massively idiotic to announce the decision IMO. Keep the tension high ffs.

Thought we couldnt play worse than that Watford game. Lol Couldnt be more wrong. I am scared at this swinging luck thingy btw. One game will be like this, with out of the world luck and the next will be the exact reverse, with everything going against us. Everton next week already has a W for them going by that.

Anyway someone end the season already. The players mentally it seems are already on vacation. God save us Wednesday pale And there needs to be a lot of outgoings. Serious lack of quality in the squad tho, especially the depth. Has to make some good signings. Not sure Ole and more importantly Woodward can pull that off tho.

Glory you already are aware that Solskjær's team were 'due' for regression and this really is the display of just that. The hardest task for him will be how to surmount a platform above the post-Mourinho honeymoon and his few decisions he made right.

Personally see him up to the task and definitely does not lack in character at all, but in the summer he will have to perform some intense development of his system.

Police are investigating an alleged assault by Fleetwood boss Joey Barton on Barnsley manager Daniel Stendel following Saturday's game at Oakwell.

Yea I agree. It was bound to happen. We were lucky his crest lasted for so long in the first place and took us this far in a top 4 race. Dont think we will make it tho.
But every United fan with a brain knows the situation right now (let's count out majority of the plebs on Redcafe so). His verdict as a manager will only begin next season after he makes some decent signings to fit his 'style'.This is just an extension of his caretaker reign.
He certainly has the man management skills, but does he have the tactical nous and swagger to be a manager of a big club such as this, only time will tell.

Na I meant, when he did become a manager? Thought he was still a player in some lower div club. Serves right for appointing a cnut like that as your club's manager. Laughing

Been reading your discussions about Ole and I have to say that he said in his pre match conference that there will be a lot of tough decisions to make in the summer. I think that’s a hint that he wants to get rid of some “important” players. I feel that Mata and Lukaku are no more on his agenda. What do you guys think? Not sure about Young but he will probably leave too. Same with Valencia and possibly Jones/Bailly (my feeling).

lukaku is a donkey but he always gets his goals so i think you will keep him and if you do sell him who can you get to replace him that will get more goals than he does.

Lukaku is at best a 3rd option striker at an ideal Man United team.

In an ideal world for you that's exactly what any competent manager should be doing IMO but obviously time will tell if any of that happens.

You might not even get buyers for the prices you'd be willing to accept either, for Mata and Lukaku at least of course Valencia and Young will probably leave for next to nothing if you want rid.

Well, at Man U we used to be able to steal top players from big teams, but we lost that.

Plus, tell me if I am wrong, but sometimes scoring 20 goals per season isn’t exactly enough. He scores in 10 games from 45-50 appeareances and he does almost nothing else. You need a striker to help the team constantly or at least be able to kill top class opponents, not scrubs like Fulham.

@Mole - Agreed.

maybe the best thing to do is keep lukaku and buy another up and coming striker and hope he turns out well and if he dont you still have lukaku to fall back on. you have zero chance of buying any of the players in the EPL that out score lukaku and i think only messi and suarez have more than 20 goals in spain and you aint getting any of them so that leaves the french germen and italian lges to pick from. what strikers can you buy from them lgs that will guarantee you more goals than lukaku.
