Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
maybe the best thing to do is keep lukaku and buy another up and coming striker and hope he turns out well and if he dont you still have lukaku to fall back on. you have zero chance of buying any of the players in the EPL that out score lukaku and i think only messi and suarez have more than 20 goals in spain and you aint getting any of them so that leaves the french germen and italian lges to pick from. what strikers can you buy from them lgs that will guarantee you more goals than lukaku.Vlad the Impaler wrote:Well, at Man U we used to be able to steal top players from big teams, but we lost that.
Plus, tell me if I am wrong, but sometimes scoring 20 goals per season isn’t exactly enough. He scores in 10 games from 45-50 appeareances and he does almost nothing else. You need a striker to help the team constantly or at least be able to kill top class opponents, not scrubs like Fulham.
@Mole - Agreed.

Nice. About time we had some luck this season. Loserpool been getting scrappy wins constantly and praised for it. Deserved tbh. We were awful today, way worse than in any of the losses where I think we actually played good.

When you lose to an already relegated team
With Palace and Burnley moving clear of relegation zone means they have little to play for in their encounters with City.

Cheering for Liverpool as well, can't cheer for a team where arrizbelend is playing, even if I want hazard and kante to do well.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Pretty much the best line-up I could have hoped for and Henderson included given his recent form of not being anything outside of being a megaphone for the midfield.
Glad Matip is slotted in as I receive heart palpitations each time I see Lovren in there, one of the greatest mysteries on how he has started so many games for us, so bad he is.
No Higuain it seems for Chelsea along with their slight alterations, Hudson-Odoi given more faith as of recent but if we cannot get past this team we dont deserve to even be a point behind City.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
It basically took a year for Sarri to realize Emerson, RLC, and Hudson-Odoi deserve to start over Alonso, Barkley/Kovacic, and Willian/Pedro.
Better late than never.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Funnily enough, if Sarri insists on playing without Higuain, Hudson Odoi would seem to me better suited for a makeshift striker role than Hazard whom Sarri keeps wasting there
