Lol, I've watched Arsenal's goals and Bournemouth's defense was non-existent.

Spurs 5 continous wins:
BC and CB: We deserve more respect as title challengers
Spurs lose: We were never in the race tbf

Nah, Spurs were definitely in the race and bottled it. At least it happened now and not in late april

They were never in the race lol, plenty of teams have been within half a dozen points in January or February before it means fuck all tbh.

Had they not bottled the last 2 games they would be 3 points from top. Not 6. That's just 1 game off. That's in the race.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
I mean, at the time they did. Now they don't.
But you can go back to my posts and see that I said it wouldn't last. I just said that Poch deserved credit for Spurs being in a title challenging position while being in a great position to go through CL knockouts. However, Spurs were overachieving on late goals against mediocre opposition while Kane and Dele were out (Dortmund included of course).
This was completely expected.
Did anyone seriously believe that Spurs would be in the title race going down to the wire while they hadn't strengthened the squad in two windows, while also having the most players that went the farthest in the WC, and losing their best midfielder early on in the season, then selling him? Spurs have had Winks-Sissoko as their starting pivot this entire season And they've had injuries all season, including Kane and Dele at the most crucial part of the season
It's precisely because that thought is so ludicrous though, that Spurs being only 6 points off of first and 3-0 up in their RO16 tie in the CL at the end of February was something worthy of commendation. Spurs should be fighting tooth and nail for fourth to be honest

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
It's all a lie tbh, they were never serious contenders. Everyone but Spurs fans knows it.
Tbf i don't expect them to be or blame them for it, they literally didn't enforce their squad at all.
But the reality is they never were legitimate threats, it's always been City and Liverpool and everything else is just delaying the inevitable.

Yeah that's exactly my point: Spurs were in a mathematical position of being title challengers when they shouldn't have been -- that's well done.
They were never going to keep it up though

Yet, Huddersfield are even worse. Only three victories and look at the amount of goals they've scored.

We had 30 shot attempts against Huddersfield the other week.
I don't think much else needs to be said tbh.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Speaking of Fulham, someone on a French forum raised some questions about the real age of Jean Michaƫl Seri.
https://www.footballdatabase.eu/en/match/summary/1086386-africa_sports-zamalek
That's him scoring a brace and being the designated penalty taker in a decisive African Champions League game at the alleged age of 16.

Jesus, as if Kessie wasn't enough. Seems like we need carbon dating introduced.

First Brendan Rodgers returns, and now Brave Scotty Parker is caretaker manager of Fulham. The memories.

Fulham have been awful this season remember the hype before the season because of all that transfer activity? Yikes, might as well just have kept the same team from last season, maybe their chemistry would have served the team better
