Three shots blocked, Wolves counter, Costa fucks up the 1v1 and Leno bails us out with a great recovery.

Worst half we've had under Emery. Dire to say the least.

Auba is so ineffective down the left it's not even funny. Entire flank is a joke.

Problem is Auba isn't a great ST either compared to Lacazette. The only place where he fits is a 4-4-2 but it's not ideal since we need Ozil there.

Auba is one dimensional and always has been. He thrives in transition, especially after a counter-press, which is how he was so amazing for Dortmund. But ask him to lead the line or play on the left and you see the flaws in his game.
Down to us to find a way to use him effectively... and that might be from the bench in some games.

Bad performance but man that game deserved more than 5 minutes added. Doherty spent 3 minutes getting treatment alone.

Can't be a coincidence.
In any case, we got lucky. But it's November and Emery still doesn't have the right tactics in place. He is fantastic when in-game managing but it doesn't always work out.
Really hope we sign a winger in Jan.

Any minute longer I think we would lose tbh, Leno and post saved us meanwhile we created fa on our end. This winter we must buy, top priority? Still not sure who we could get realistically, the fact that names havent been floating around the media kinda worry me.
