Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
XHAKA can be good if he wants to be, if someone can just somehow lobotomise him so that he can cut out his brainfart moments, he could form a very good pivot with the Terrier.
Mustafi and Holding did well too today.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
I don‘t see the point in giving Ramsey minutes in games like these. Takes too many touches, slow, uncreative and in bad form. Completely slowed our game down as soon as he came on.

Still don't think we'd have a chance at Anfield but i just hope it's better than the usual 4-1 or 4-0 thrashing we get

Ah c’mon RG, we just had a good game against top dog, we did press them to the very end and players and fans should be encouraged by this performance. The day of thrashing is over, I believe we could compete against the top.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
Still think we should bin him and get a better rounded midfielder to partner Torreira
back to back draws, cant afford to drop too many points from next few matches
Wolves (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Spurs (H)
Man Utd (A)
Huddersfield (H)
hopefully 12-13 pts from that 5

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
I hope we replace Ramsey with that better rounded midfielder tbh. Would give competition to XHAKA and maybe surpass him if he is that good.
Very hard to find those types.
We need to beat Spurs at home at all cost. Point won't be a good result against them. They are the true rivals for 4th. United away is a defeat though.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
Just realized our match vs Wolves is at the same time as Manc Derby next Sunday
disgraceful schedule ffs
IIRC we were playing stoke at the same time as that 6-1 "why always me" as well

Why do you feel that way though?
This is UNAI EMERY's RED ARMY.
Wenger had a psychological curse against United away.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
I just can't see it. Even the best of Arsenal teams in history barely won over there. We probably have a 20% win record there or something in our history.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
Is it just me or does it seems that auba at left wing with laca upfront doesn't seem to that effective especially against good defences. Iowbi has to be playing there.
Only reason auba scored those goals against Leicester was bcoz arsenal had them trailing and they were attacking.
Anyways i couldn't watch the match in highlights the team looked good.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
For me Auba impact has been minimal in term of defense and link up play. If he’s too wide, he hardly link up with Laca. If he’s too close to Laca, left flank will get doubled in defense. But he’s class so the goals are always there. So far he’s happy with wide role and we benefit from it, still not ideal way to utilize him and Laca together. Iwobi should be ahead on that flank though.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
I said it before the match, Auba and Lacazette do not work when they both start together. They always seem to work when one is coming off the bench.
Auba isn't a winger nor a wide midfielder. He is a striker playing as a winger who isn't brilliant at knowing what he is expected from that side. However his threat is so big that teams do tend to sit back when he starts so that helps us.

Re: Arsenal Vs Liverpool
In my opinion it’s essential to have either Aubameyang or Welbeck starting alongside Lacazette because they open up space for Lacazette to do his thing, which he doesn’t see to be able to do alone up front.
Aubameyang is also scoring goals so I don’t see the need to change things.
For the moment Iwobi can start on the right, and in the future I hope Aubameyang can adjust to the position, he’s always moving wide anyway when playing as a striker so it’s not a big change.
Emery is doing well with the rotation, Aubameyang has played some games up front as have Lacazette and Welbeck. Iwobi has played on the left when coming on and on the right. Ozil has played as an AM and RAM. Same with Mkhi. No exceptions.
