Pique, Lenglet, Rakitic, Arthur who grew into the game, hell even Roberto was good. If anything, our forwards were underwhelming. If they were on point, this would have been a rout.

Vinicius didnt do as much as he did against Semedo last game. Great tweak from EV, he saw problem and get Pique, Rakitic and later on Vidal helping that flank out. Semedo was left on the island last time.

Vinicius definitely has potential but has zero shooting technique atm.

You have no right to complain about your forwards. Madrids forwards are a teenager, a cat who cant score goals, and a permanantly injured player.

madrid need to off load most of the old guard and invest big in the summer. the big problem they have is all the players have gotten old at the same time.

Jose is wrong. You can say it was a soft performance if you have the talent and they arent playing up to par. This group for the most part are running on E. Now if they were playing against girona celts vigo et al an empty tank might still finish the race. Which is why in some way it's tough to get mad at the players, especially if you already knew beforehand how limited they are

Impressed with Reguilon and Vinicius. Vinicius looks to have start potential. Shouldnt harp on his finishing too much. He is still only 18 and impressing in Clasico's. He is the only saving grace in Madrid right now. Driving their attack. If Madrid are smart, they would take the pressure off a bit.

And there is nothing special about Dembélé. At best he's Zaha/Ińaki Williams. Barça need to sort out their LW quickly.

Reguillon looks very decent. Madrid have LB position covered for many years.

Piqué was immense, powerful defending, always in the right place at the right time.

Not to be a hater but Barca didn't impress me a bit in these two games.

Messi is 50% of what he used to be, Suarez can be clinical ( once in 10 games ) but is getting sluggish, Dembele is still raw and your midfield without the ball is slow as hell.

we have lost our last 3 games in bernabeu, two against barca and one against Girona. but Girona had more dangerous chances on our goal than Barca had in two games.

Congrats for Liga and Copa wins, looking forward to see you crash out of CL again.

We play more conservative now because Messi forces us to. But , our midfield still owned yours as usual. Modric and Kroos once more hiding against us.

the difference to me really was barca's 1) clear ability to finish, 2) clear ideas to create scoring chances.

madrid never really had 2) but we lost 1) when CR left. it does not matter how amazing your team is if your strikers cant finish chances on a consistent basis. This is the position that Madrid find themselves in right now. i think our team played well vs barca, they had very good moments when they were pressing and trying to put the ball in the box, but when you have those sequences and you can't score, vs a possession heavy team like barca, you look worse than you are at the end when you are loosing.

if you have 3 finishers up top, then the outlook of your team changes significantly. It's just hard on the market to find players who are both highly technically proficient + score goals
