Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal
Not a great place for us to go tbh. Won't be surprised if we get shocked there.
But considering how we are approaching shitty fixtures in the next two months. We do need to get 3 points tomorrow.
Hopefully 12 wins in a row.

I believe we can keep the good run going, we've looked far more imposing in away fixtures this season.

Re: Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal
An early away game against a plucky team desperate for a win, when the weather has just turned very cold all of a sudden... sounds like a cup game.
We SHOULD win the game, but it does have the potential for things to go wrong. Given the trend of poor first half displays, this could be the day we're punished and won't be able to come back.
Having said that, Palace are pretty awful this season. Apart from Zaha, they're not the most creative team and they really struggle for goals.
We have Blackpool in mid-week, so we should see a big effort from the players knowing that 90% of them are going to be rested soon.

Re: Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal
XHAKA has been okay at left-back so let's hope that continues. Although he might have to deal with Zaha today
Let's hope we stay defensively compact and disciplined like we have in recent weeks, then we should win this tbh.

XHAKA's first real test at LB. EL don't really count.
Wonder if it's Iwobi RW or Ozil? or Auba?

Looks like it's going to be another poor first half.
Sterile possession so far, no penetration, just gave up a big chance to Townsend...

1-0 Palace. Well deserved, too.
This has been a shit show from us, even by this season's standards.
Gonna need some half-time magic yet again.

Mustafi again... gonna have to blame Emery for this one if we don't get back. How can you justify starting Mustafi over Sokratis man... surely he has realized by now that Mustafi is a shit footballer.
Gonna have to rely on our attack again if we want to come back from here. Let's do this!

Also Lichtsteiner was surely signed for emergencies like this one. The fatigue excuse is not really valid, the man hasn't played a lot of football this season.

Re: Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal
Our football today has been just as unwatchable as last season. That's how bad we've been.
Just passing it across the halfway line because Palace have smothered the middle of the pitch. Ozil having to come into his own half just to get on the ball. We have no left flank because we're shoehorning Auba and XHAKA over there. Bellerin sometimes get a lot of space on the right but Guendouzi/Torreira have refused to switch the play.

I don't know, he has seemed a bit slow in the few occasions he has played.

Re: Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal
Think starting Auba was a bad decision. We can't make any play from left side since he is a runner and XHAKA is not going to bomb forward.

let's not kid ourselves we have played much worse in other first halves so far this season.
We can only hope we turn it around again in the second.

Lichtsteiner on... for Bellerin.
Can only imagine Bellerin has picked up a knock.
