Also, are bench players on the bench for good (and come into play only if a regular doesn't play?) or can they be moved in and out of the roster that counts?
no you can move them around and rotate as you please on a daily basis.

What's the duration between picks?

Okay great! Tell him to get here and sign up and join, and familiarise himself with how it'll work.

Re: GL NBA Fantasy 2018/19
Two questions while I'm editing the league settings.
How long do we want the time limit for a draft pick to be?
I currently have it set for one minute but it can go anywhere from 15 seconds to 2 minutes.
Also how many player acquisitions (either free agents or trades) should be allowed per week?

1 minute is good no? Although since we are so last minute, maybe 2 would be ok

Oh sorry I meant the duration of each pick not between picks, I'll say 1 minute. Gives enough time for someone to compare stats and see who they really want once we get lower into the draft. It automatically goes on to the next pick when someone makes the draft so it doesn't waste time anyway.

Re: GL NBA Fantasy 2018/19
I'd like 1 min picks, not shorter, since I haven't done it before.
Don't have an opinion on number of trades, anything goes.

I kept it at 1 minute also, i put the weekly limit at 10 we shouldn't need more than 10 changes a week tbh but i can change it during the season so it's fine.

It's not just trades, it's free agents if you have injuries or just want to get rid of someone too.
I'd say on average, you won't use it more than 5 or 6 times in a week even if you were really unhappy with your team.

Basically there's 9 categories.
FG% FT% 3PM, Points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks and turnovers.
You face one person each week and the winner is who wins the majority (5-4 minimum and 9-0 maximum) you draft a team which gets the most from all the categories.
So obviously drafting loads of scorers who don't rebound is no good, what i like to do is commit to enough areas to win enough but not everything.
For example the two years i won i focused a lot on assists, free throw percentages and 3 pointers made but you probably get the same results by focusing on blocks and rebounds and Field goal percentage.

Just notify Luca and Nick who might think it's an hour later because of time zones

Re: GL NBA Fantasy 2018/19
It shows 6pm on my yahoo page for the draft, I'll have to do a sneaky one in class but I set some pre-draft rankings that will help and it should be fine as long as the internet connection holds up in class
