Us was fine. Predictable ending but great acting from Lupita and Winston Duke.

There's some great music scenes in it.
I guess it's worth it, only because there's not much else out there.
I watch most non-superhero movies for free in cinema anyways, so I guess it depends on your monetary situation.
If you want to watch a fun violent scene set to a NWA song it's worth it.

Nah money isn't an issue.
Mate wants to watch it so i was wondering if i should say yes or no. Didn't really love Get Out.
Might watch it next week.

Well then I'd recommend. Score and music is one of the biggest reasons to watch in a cinema. And that's the best part aside from Lupita and the comedy.
I gave it 3.5/5. I'm just sad it wasn't scary at all. Even less scary than Get Out.

Hmm that's a shame. Trailer made it look like it was quite creepy and scary.
But i suppose i'll just watch it as a satire

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Because it won an Oscar, watched Green Book which was good. Then thought maybe there's still movies being made and watched BlacKKKinsman, which was pretty bad. Oh well, these being the top movies of today, superheroes really seem to have killed the movie industry.
Glad to see at least Tarantino is still making actual movies.Freeza wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Scf8nIJCvs4

I love that movie so much even though it's gotten a lot of flack as time has gone by.
There's just something about it that's magical to me. Ezra Miller especially is incredible. And it's one of Emma Watson's two good performances.

I loved how good the chemistry was between the 3 of them. I never thought Emma Watson was capable of this but she was fantastic.
I also thought that there was something special about the film. Specially the last 20 minutes and the tunnel scene. That was exceptional.

I'm sure you've heard of the more popular ones so
here's a few of the lesser known ones from the past few years:
The Clovehitch Killer (2018)
Dragged Across Concrete (2018)
The Guilty (2018) - Danish
Burning (2018) - Korean
Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017)
Green Room (2016)
No Escape (2015)
The Gift (2015)
Circle (2015)
And yeah, Searching is good too.

I think Dragged Across Concrete would be too much drama and character building for MT

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and John Wick 3 will safe 2019 for me, no matter what else comes out.

So...what exactly is the story behind Battlefield Earth?
I mean it even has 2 respectable actors in it. I thought it was rated as one of the worst because it's another The Room kinda film.

That backyard scene in crazy, stupid, love
I can't remember laughing so hard watching a film. In tears. That was such a brilliant scene with perfect comedic timing by everyone, specially followed by the twist.
I love Steve Carell

One of my favorite romcoms. The backyard scene and the montage of Ryan Gosling "training" Steve Carrell kills me everytime.
You should watch 40 Year Old Virgin, if you haven't. Carrell is at his finest there.

Just watched Knocked up the other day again too. 40 year old virgin and knocked up are both so good. Apatow was on fire at that time

Some all time greats in the Apatow Cinematic Universe
40 year old virgin
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Superbad
Bridesmaids
Step Brothers
Knocked Up
Anchorman
He might be the most influential comedy person the last 20 years.

Funny People is one of my favorites. Adam Sandler's best work imo.

Never got into Apatow's stuff honestly. Funny, yes, but forgettable to me.
I think by watching those movies, I learned that I actually like goofy, slapstick comedy much more...like Eddie Murphy, Jim Carrey-esque stuff.
