amount of times i've closely watched pre-season for fantasy football purposes and I can tell you honestly I've seen some unreal hype trains emerge due to it and none of them ever work out lol, it means nothing

Chelsea can win the Treble of Sadness this season, would be a great achievement for Sarri in his first year. (would be 10x the banter if City wins it tho)

I usually don't see the point of supercups unless it marks the "official" start of the season. Only in Serie A we play it in middle of the season

Caballero and the front 3 are letting that Chelsea team down. Haven't watched any Chelsea preseason but I imagine that with Sarri arriving so late they probably won't look good yet. Expecting a clear City win.

Without their talisman Courtois, it's obvious Chelsea dont stand a chance

Tbf Sarri doesn't play in a way which will hurt a Pep team tbh, from what i saw in the two games against them with Napoli they played with a lot of naivety.

Sarri will be gone by xmas lol, especially with the team he has, this is gonna be the highlight of his Chelsea career IMO, should go all out.

im def keeping tabs on Laporte, ppl seem to forget Pep signed him in January for like 60-70m lol, I barely remember an appearance from him

Short preseason because De Laurentiis locked him down for as long a he could manage to do

The Jorginho signing helps him a lot, one of the best players under Sarri's management

@mole, I agree. They played well against Man City but tried to go shot for shot with them, it won't work

meh, Chelsea can keep him if they want i could care less. No matter where Thibuuuu plays ill be a fan.

take it to the bet thread, I see a lot of you Serie A lads hyping up Sarri, I'm willing to bet he's sacked by Xmas and/or ends the season without a trophy and outside of the top 4

that said I think his objective for the season will be top 4, he isn't expected to win anything else, so me thinking he's gone by xmas is silly unless he's having a nightmare run and they're like 10th.

Being serious now, this Chelsea team, while subpar, I think can be quite good for Sarri's style. I have no doubt that if he gets them playing his football he will succeed in the PL. So its a matter of how much time it will take them to click into it.

Some of the players are fairly similar profiles to what he had at Napoli so I think it will succeed.

Insigne -> Hazard
Callejon -> Pedro
Hamsik -> Fabregas
Jorginho -> Jorginho
Allan -> Kante

The striker is a question mark, as are the fullbacks, but the game should flow.

Caballero as starter would you believe
