Tbh I don't think there's that much between the route of England and Belgium.
England have two somewhat tough games while Belgium got one free game and one very tough game.
Semis are against top teams on both sides.

Unless your country's name is Brasil or Germany, any team that makes the semis of the WC should deem it as a great World Cup.

Spain have made the semi's like once in their entire history
France dont make semi's of a WC often either. Semis should be a good result for both countries.

Spain has only made 2 semi final appearance in all their history, France 4 times. Germany has done it 11 times, so has Brasil. If Spain and France wanna give themselves such expectations in every WC, they would definitely not be a happy bunch more often than not.

Actually, Spain just made it once to the semis. 1950 didn't use the semi final format.

Spain not winning it wont be a disappointment. With their ageing starting eleven, they'd be happy if they can make it that far(semis) in the first place.
I can understand France but i dont think this bunch is ready to win a world cup yet. Maybe in 4 years time, i'd bet on them.

Had Belgium lost to England, they would have gone to the semifinals and finals for the first time ever. They will, in any case, get to the semis for the first time in history.

I'll give him props for going on his Twitter feed. He knew what was waiting for him.
Probably the footballer with the best twitter account out there right now.

Justice for Tunisia! We were beaten by the best and there's no shame in ...
lol are you kidding me? It doesn't matter that both of them are in the semis, we suck and we wouldn't have qualified in any other group.
