One has lost 3 finals in a row with what's widely regarded as the most talented forward line in International football. While the other has won a Euro while his team didn't even win a single game in regulation time. Not to mention that he didn't even play in the final game at all. These are your Goats? That's how clueless you idiots are? You honestly believe there hasn't been a better player in all of football's history? How embarrassing.

Don't believe that you're totally clueless? Name just 1 single thing any player has ever done that Diego Maradona didn't do on a football field? Just 1 thing. After you put away the excuses of older defenders and superior players of today, please name one single thing any player has done that he didn't. Other than score a bucket load of useless goals and or lose when it mattered most. Yeah, exactly.

Try educating yourselves. Go to YouTube and search for Diego Maradona. Just please stop the stupidity.

Honestly comparing across eras is a futile effort. Messi and Ronaldo would have struggled much more in the 80s because of the worse pitches, more fouls, etc. But at the same time it's entirely possible Maradona wouldn't have had the discipline to keep up with modern standards of fitness and nutrition, and would've ended up like a Robinho or Balotelli. Everyone would've recognized his talent but he would never have fulfilled his potential because of the higher standards in training and diet.

So to say with such confidence that Maradona is the goat across all eras really only tells me that you're the one that knows "virtually nothing about football". It's enough for me to focus on the present and argue that Messi is the best of the modern era. Beyond that is just the foolish attempts of immature children to elevate their favorite player.
