He's going to get a big move in the next 2 seasons. If you count CL qualification football as actual CL football, he's been playing at that level since he was 17. Spain's current coach promoted him from the Porto academy about 4 or 5 seasons ago, but he was deemed sellable because of Porto's managerial changes and its issues with complying with FFP.

The reason he as at Wolves is because the current owners of Wolves have some sort of shady partnership with Mendes. He has a number of Portuguese players, Jota, Cavaleiro, even the manager, over there who have no business playing in the Championship. (As reflected by their relative ease to promotion) It wouldn't surprise me if Wolves comfortably stays up next season with just a couple of transfers this summer.

As for Neves' skills, besides scoring 5 goals outside of the box this season and being good at freekicks, he is a very good passer. He is good at recycling possession and is not afraid to demonstrate his range by playing long passes into space for the wingers.

I don't think he's great defensively though. He's quite rash with the challenge, so he gets tons of bookings. At least he does offer some sort of defensive presence though.

He did today for Wolves too, but in the same way Jorginho plays in front of the defence for Chelsea.

Hopefully we'll move on from attacking with 7 and defending in 3 as soon as possible. We've got some great midfield and attacking talents and with Lopetegui at helm and hopefully without BB in the near future we won't need a destroyer type of DM again. I like the way the likes of Alonso used to play not Casemiro or Makelele, even if their contribution was massive to their teams' success
