Sold Matic for 42m IIRC? Drinkwater was 35m and Bakayoko 40m.

The feeling was, that Matic's performances fell off alongside Kante and they wanted a more dynamic midfield I guess, with Bakayoko supposed to be a 'Pogba' type. I think it was a valid train of thought at the time but if anything Kante's performances without Matic have fallen off tremendously - Matic is still GOATING. Unsung hero of that Chelsea midfield that won the league IMO. Hope he retires with us. Not like he relies on speed so I hope we get another 4-5 seasons out of him.

West Ham 3-0 up, Hughes is surely gone if Soton have any hope for survival.

Soton still have Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Leicester and Everton (Bournemouth also) to play in their last 6.
