At the end of the day if we think we can stop spending now and get by on 20M Summers then i'll see you in the Europa league if we draw an English team I guess
Its an obligation to sign Costa. Doesn't matter in which season you place it, the deal is made and his expenses are factored in to what we can spend going forward.
Its not a good thing but its reality, big(ger) money coming into football has shaken things.

It's also 40M euros spread over 2 years.
At any rate, yes football is silly money now. But life isn't fair either and we either get with the times or suffer the consequences. Without some serious changes we're already well on our way to decline.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
I agree. I just don't agree that bankrupting the club is a way to get with the times, and I certainly don't agree that its embarrassing not to throw it all away.
We know exactly how much money we can get by winning CL and achieving sporting objectives. We are already on the way on that front. The changes we have to, or can, make are surely being made. The stadium, the media, the branding, the 4 CL spots now, the emphasis on youth and the loan system, etc. New sources or improved sources of revenue is what leads to sustainable growth.
I mean this is pretty much the only reason why have talks of a european super league. Its a reality that a lot of clubs face.

Get out lol, we don't need Serie A bums tbh.
We've been 5th in the PL since January 1st, would probably be 1st in Serie A in that time tbh.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Yeah we've only lost twice in that time.
Tbh, i know Rafa has a reputation ( some of it is earned ) but for us so far his signings have been nothing but great really.
Of course there's some bums like Joselu but quite clearly he was only signed as a last resort bargain bin desperation.
For the most part all of them have had a positive impact. Also i thank you for including me

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Alex Sandro will move. Still a decent enough name to be included in that list
Also Cavani, and PSG in general I could see shuffling the deck. Some decent names in that squad market wise
For Juventus, Sergej would really be a dream signing. I think even if Sandro and Dybala leave and Sergej + someone decent comes in that most people would be appeased

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Sandro has to be one of the mentally weakest players I've seen. Absolutely disinterested this season, will be glad to see him go. Zero excuses to be regressing like that in a team that still wins 99% of it's league games and there's not that much pressure on him at all.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Agreed he isn't the same player
1st season he was promising
2nd season he was the best LB in the world (him or Marcelo)
3rd season he forgot how to defend and his coubter attcks aren't dangerous anymore
But i believe the team that buys him will make a good piece of business, he ain't finished just unmotivated.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
It is reported that Milan are monitoring both Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi and Swansea City’s Ki Sung-Yueng.
With Coach Rino Gattuso recently tied down to a new long-term contract, Tuttosport claim the Rossoneri are now looking to strengthen their squad in time for the new season.
According to the Italian daily, San Siro sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli is a long term admirer of Neroverdi forward Berardi.
The 23-year-old has scored three goals and claimed two assists for the Neroverdi so far this campaign.
It is thought that Mirabelli, who is said to have expressed his interest in Berardi to Sassuolo last summer, will make the Italy U21 international a priority signing - particularly if Suso decides to leave the Diavolo.
Also reportedly on Milan’s radar is South Korea international Ki.
The defensive midfielder’s contract with Swansea, where he has made 27 appearances this season, expires in the summer.
The 29-year-old is said to have a number of suitors, with Mirabelli keen to add greater ‘quality and physicality’ to his midfield options.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Liverpool reportedly want to sign Juventus hitman Paulo Dybala on the orders of Jurgen Klopp.
Dybala could leave Juventus in the summer, having endured a rocky season in Turin under Massimiliano Allegri.
Liverpool could spend big on a blockbuster name as they hunt a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who joined Barcelona in January.
And Mediaset Premium say Liverpool are keen to sign Dybala when the transfer window reopens.
The Reds have money in the bank from Coutinho's sale, having pocketed a huge £142million from his sale.
Liverpool are already in possess

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
they have money left after spending 80m on VVD but lol
if they go for Dybala it will be because they sell Salah, can't see Dybala not going for 100+
besides Dybala wouldn't move there anyway
he's Madrid/United bound, and honestly I don't think he's suited to the PL so I'd rather he stay at JJuve. I'd swap him for Martial though
anyhow, I expect this to be the biggest summer in a long time for teams

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Dybala's best position is Pogba's best position in the way United play nowadays. Would be another mistake in squad building and i think mourinho knows better than to sign another n10 with no elite speed who can't have a significant impact playing wide.
Mourinho will focus on signing wingers this summer, along with better defenders and a CM. You have enough guys that can play behind the CF. and dont fall in love with "big names" Dybala would do nothing for you

Not even trolling but he'll be a flop for you. Slow, average first touch, goes down too easily which wouldnt be tolerated by Brexit refs. Honestly, the only PL team where i see him being a success is City under Pep.

saw a comment and verified it, but Sidibe basically has as many goals and assists as Lemar this season
ffs Lemar is SCRUBBING hard, wonder if any big clubs come in for him again this summer, his market value must have tanked, can see him at Burnley or the like tbh
