Dear lord, the missions in Mafia 3 are soooooo monotonous.

Opening was good, but the rest... so far TRASH. The soundtrack does not save it.

The only enjoyable thing I found about this game was walking around and punching random NPCs in the face. But even that became boring quick

I liked Mafia 2 but this is a step down.

Well, it's not an outright bad game, to be fair. I had some fun with We Happy Few. Certain things about the game are genuinely funny, and despite sub-par graphics and quite a lot of barren land, the world is really vast and it looks gorgeous at times. The Austin Powers- like, 60s England theme is cool, and the development team clearly put a lot of effort into the finer details in the game. I personally liked the story, as well. I just wish the game was more polished and didn't have so many fetch quests that made the game occasionally feel like a chore. I also ran into quite a few bugs that were funny at times, but also potentially frustrating based on the situation they occurred in.

Been playing Cuphead, people didn't undersell the difficulty of this game lmao.

It's *bleep* hard as hell, really fun though.

On PC? You got a decent gaming PC or laptop

PC yeah.

I didn't really pay attention to the specs but it runs really smoothly and graphics look like they looked in gameplay I watched

So seems like it runs fine. Oh BTW the controller that came with PS4 pro syncs up immediately with my laptop now which makes playing on my laptop a lot less painful.

Might try and play more stuff which isn't on ps4.

Have any of you actually played Shenmue? I bought the Shenmue 1+2 remake, and played the first one for about 1-2 hours last night. It didn't seem like my type of game at all, but it has a pretty substantial fan following, and I figured I might as well see for myself why so many people hold such an old series in high regard to this day. I'm not impressed, so far. Seems like a really cheesy, Asian drama/kung-fu story with clunky, dated gameplay mechanics, terrible voice acting and graphics comparable to that of the original Tomb Raider game. Lazy port, as well. Would love to know what people find so great about the game.

I can tell that the game was once way ahead of it's time, but considering it's a semi-open world game, it just feels extremely dated at this point in time.

I always imagined, like you said - for it's time it was like nothing else. And that's that.

I've always wanted to give it a try but also suspected it wouldn't likely hold up nowadays.

I played a bit in the dreamcast but more than that watched a friend (the owner of the dreamcast) play.

It was a lot of mindblowing things for its time but now all that is dated and much better versions of the individual mechanics exist. It was a game that did a lot of things at once, which was rare back in the day. It created a more realistic feeling world, it had sooo many cool details and small things to do.

I haven't seen these remasters but I'm sure it wouldn't age well at all cause its no longer groundbreaking and probably feels too old.

Shenmue 3 could be cool (again, haven't seen it).

didn't you play Yakuza recently Thimmy? or one of them, from what I've seen Yakuza is kinda like the successor to Shenmue and I imagine the newer Yakuza entries will end up being better than the upcoming Shenmue too. Which got a release date today, a year from now to the day, more or less.

But ya I can imagine the game would feel outdated even without having played modern Yakuza games
