Don't know how I ended up posting that^here. I meant to post it in the God of War thread


In different news, CDPR's Adam Kasinsky says Cyberpunk 2077 is still in it's pre- Alpha stage. In other words, it won't come out any time soon. Some journalists were allowed to play a part of the game, but that tiny part was specifically completed and polished, in order to allow a select few people to get a sense of what the game is like.

Pre Alpha doesn't really mean anything tbh, Days Gone is as well

Different games move forward Alpha testing at different speeds, I still expect it September 2019 at the earliest and July 2020 at the latest.

But we knew that anyway.

Summer sale is nice, already bought Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale EE's, and finally forked few euros for GTA V.

I've have played the free version quite a lot when the game was released, although investments didn't work in it.

I'm basically just turning my 3 year old office Dell with an i5 4460 and 8GB RAM into something that can game for cheap by getting the GTX 1050 ti, but spoke to people about it and watched videos and seems you can run most things like TW3, Fortnite, GTA 5, MMO's etc on high settings with just that. Obviously not supermax or anything but decent enough for someone testing the waters of PC gaming, like I said I'll upgrade if I can adjust to PC gaming.

I mostly want it to play RPG's and stuff like Divinity, Pillars etc. Maybe FF XIV. Just gonna use my PS4 for exclusives...which is all I do anyway now.

You don't need a super high end rig anyways, for those spects you can run most games on high settings depending on your CPU.

I think this is the best way to go, i'd look at the Steam Summer sale which is on now (until July 5) and pick up games on the cheap while you can

Yeah 1050 ti should run most games in high settings at 1080p. 8GB might give hiccups in some games if you have a lot of background stuff going on but it's good enough. CPU has little effect on most modern games, I'm still running 2500k@4.4GHz. I've 16GB and 1070, and almost all games run in max setting at 1440p +60FPS. Now that AMD has started the core wars, maybe next gen will finally start to take advantage of these new core monsters, and CPU upgrade could finally be viable. Anyway welcome to PC master race.

Great and honest documentary of the history of Elder Scrolls. How Morrowind was basically the pinnacle of the series, and how it has been streamlined and dumbed down since Daggerfall because of the console peasants.

I heard good things about not buying a computer and staying inside, when Northern Europe are enjoying an unusually long streak of sun and hot temperatures

"enjoying" is not the ideal word to use, at least as far as France is concerned. It's been unbearably hot in Paris, and this is coming from a guy who lived his entire life in Tunisia.

Yeah, it's been uncomfortably hot a times here as well, but Northern Europeans complain about rain and mild summers most years, so now's definitely the time to soak up some sun
