Aye really good so far, movement feels amazing as does the shooting in general and the mech gameplay is good too. My only criticism of the little i've played is the AI seems a bit dumb but that maybe a difficulty thing.
I feel sorry for doubting Jonathan back in the day tbh, first Metro and now this The lad has never steered me wrong
I was the last person who recommended that game, you PoS

I just remember him passionately advertising the first game, something that's become a bit of a meme on here ever since, lol. I still hold a grudge against you for including everyone but me in your announcement of Before the Storm's release, as if I never made an attempt to emphasise how good the first game was when everyone seemed to assume I was recommending some crappy indie game

Literally every guy I know who's below the age of 50 plays that game. Never played it, myself. Gonna start on GoW now, and then I've got NioH left to catch up with before Red Dead Redemption 2 releases Can't think of any near future game release I'm looking forward to, right now.

Well, I'll likely pick up "We Happy Few" which comes out in early august already. Provided, I have nothing else to play then. There's also Yakuza Kiwami 2, which comes out in late august.

Thimmy, Mole you guys play TF2 multiplayer? All my friends are still on R6 Siege.
Ignore the peeps who just hate on it because its the most popular game out there. Its mad fun and the best part is toxicity is really low unlike Siege, COD, Overwatch.

I've never played Team Fortress. I've mostly been playing single player games recently. With the exception of FIFA. Siege was is probably the most fun I've had in an FPS game in recent years, but the third world servers the game had for 3 months after launch pissed me off and I never felt tempted to pick it up again. Overwatch was also pretty fun, but I grew bored of it after a while. I used to be really into CoD, but fkuc that crap

The game is undeserving of all its popularity, its literally a remedy to console players (and PC players) who have no money. Its riding on the coattails of PUBG and even at that battle royale games in general are overall boring. I've played Fortnite and PUBG extensively with and without friends and amidst some entertaining experiences the game is pretty dull. The only reason it got popular is 1) Its in the normie sphere of gaming, 2) Every kid who has internet is playing it. Its pretty annoying that everyone is playing this game as well, i'm tired of seeing Fortnite wins on snapchat, or kids do the fortnite dance on social media (absolutely cringe), or even seeing twitch personalities quit other games to ride the Fortnite train, within the next year it will probably die out so im cool with that.

Re: General Games Discussion
I can totally see the appeal of Fortnite. I'm still not sure It's something I can enjoy for more than the next week. But had some casual fun.
I do agree with you on two of those things; the fact it's free is the reason it's popular, or, the reason for it's rise, if PUBG launched and was free, we don't even know what Fortnite is. (Although judging from how 99/100 players have those overpriced skins, EVERYONE in this game is forking over some kind of money) and it definitely rode on PUBG's coattails.
Still think it's kinda harsh though, looking at their seasonal 'battle pass' thing seems really good value and the reason PUBG has fallen behind is because it just wasn't prepared for it's success I guess, EPIC just continued to pump out and tweak the game very quickly.
Doubt it'll become obsolete within a year, earning insane money and too much of a cultural phenomenon, I do think its started to decline a little though.
Also..I haven't encountered much toxicity per se, especially compared to OW like M99 mentioned. But I have had to mute every single person in my squad within 20 seconds 80% of the time because it's kids or melts with music playing down the mic.

It's a good game IMO, i just suck at building so i refuse to play it unless there's at least 1 or 2 people on with me.

Seems harsh, I'd argue some of the shit EA has tried to get away with is worse.

Re: General Games Discussion
Just finished Arkham Knight.
One of the most boring games I ever played. Felt like work completing it, and it is the definition of busy-work gameplay.
Semi-open world and reliance on the Batmobile dragged the game down. However, that would never excuse the shoddy pacing, terrible side-quests, and threadbare progression.
All the worst because when Rocksteady takes control of the situation, and actually crafts a scene, it is still as good as the first two games.
Terrible waste of time.

Re: General Games Discussion
I didn't even bother with the side quests don't think I touched even one.
My feeling on Arkham Knight was that I enjoyed the hand to hand combat when it happened, the traversal, the world and the story.
The issue was that the Bat Mobile ruined it all so it never mattered.

Mostly agree with you. It had great potential because the entire joker-batman thing was incredible. But rest wasn't. Bat mobile ruined the game. Side quests were mediocre.

Re: General Games Discussion
I see. I only started playing the game a few days ago. Don’t have a lot of leisure time at my disposal these days, so I won’t be finishing the game in a hurry. I started playing the game at the highest difficulty, but took it down to medium after concluding that it would take forever for me to finish the game if I have to do multiple respawns, Dark Souls style, on the more challenging bosses. Those portals with higher level mobs proved to be quite time consuming. I also have NioH that I want to start on before going on vacation.

Don't know how I ended up posting that^here. I meant to post it in the God of War thread
In different news, CDPR's Adam Kasinsky says Cyberpunk 2077 is still in it's pre- Alpha stage. In other words, it won't come out any time soon. Some journalists were allowed to play a part of the game, but that tiny part was specifically completed and polished, in order to allow a select few people to get a sense of what the game is like.
