I can already see Dybala ruining Lindelo/Bayley/Smalling/Jones/Rojo/Blind
Alternatively, i can also see Martial mistake-dribble through De Sciglio, leaving him to eat dust and scoring a near-post tap in against Buffoon

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 4
I've talked before about the amount of English and Italian teams there should be in the CL, every year one or two great clubs are left out because of "neutrality", this year it was Arsenal, last year Man Utd and so on. Meanwhile Serie A got gifted a CL place without deserving it.
I've said before that looking at the teams quality and success in recent years, Premier League should have 7 clubs directly qualifying in the CL while Serie A only one. The way it is you have clubs like Napoli, Roma scrubbing it out every year while quality PL teams find themselves dominating in EL.
Don't get me wrong, the same is valid for the Spanish league and every other league in Europe. This is the CHAMPIONS league not the pity league. Premier League has 7 champions and the rest only have one every year.

As the advocate for my club, i wholeheartedly agree, in fact, i suggest you go one step further and give 0 CL spots to Serie A, instead, allocate CL spots to historic clubs who show up like Milan etc
For La Liga you can give them 2 spots
Bundesliga 1 spot
Dominoes Pizza Ligue Uhn 1 spot
PL #Big8 8 spot
This way can guarantee 1 PL team in each group

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 4
Precisely
You can show your greatness in EL
That's why you and that other 6th placed team are given a platform for
Better to dominate Qarabag and Krasnodar than get smashed by elite teams year after year afterall
How many more years have to endure seeing Arsenal getting smashed by cricket scorelines in CL ?
Its high time they needed a whole new platform to show their talent and I say EL is most suited for them. Hope it works out well for you guys.

Oh and as for Milan, even Serie A is proving to be too tough a platform for them
As I said before, better to switch to a whole new sport IMO

People talking about 7 CL spots for EPL when even Atalanta puts 5 past Everton at home

That's because Everton are shite.
They are currently 16th and very possibly could go down.

I know, but they were 7th last season, would get embarrassed in CL every week.

that's because they had GOATKAKU last season, one of the best striker in the world that carried them.
Now they have Rooney. Not the same team at all.

Yeah, replacing the striker, Lukaku, with Sandro Ramirez was hilarious. Can't expect Rooney to carry the team with goals by himself.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 4
I'd kill for a Juve-Tottenham draw at this point tbh
People don't even recall that even GOAT league fodder are Serie A destroyers (everton don't count, their best player is Sigurdsson and a 38 y/o Roonay). Remember Spurs with Modrid, VdV, Crouchino and Bale? Destroyed CL holders Inter 3-1, ran them close 4-3 in the groups. Drew Milan in the RO16 and when everyone thought Spurs were done for, they won over two legs.
Only went out in the competition when Crouchinho got a red against Madrid, a La Liga team, and a league people can respect.
Don't care what Serie Zzzz team it is, I want Spurs to draw them. CBucks Upwards and Onwards

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 4
tbh we destroyed you too on first leg, we dominated Tottenham in San Siro , then Benitez tried some shocking experiments (yeah , these are Fachts ) and Bale score 2 goals on extra-time.
True about the rest though (and Milan won Serie A that year )
Anyway we have created so much hype on a potential match that I'd be disappointed if not Juve-Spurs now tbh . Sheva , draw it for GL.
Just reserve a place for me on Tottenham Hotspur FC wagon.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 4
CSpurs more overconfident about his team than Dante.
How quickly do we forget that last year this team got knocked out by Leverkusen of all teams from the CL and then by Genk... Genk, the 8th best team in Belgium.
Calma. You have a long way to go before being one of the big boys. From a Juve perspective its great draw to get Spurs.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 4
it's your overconfidence that will do you in. It's not even confidence in Spurs. It's confidence in the GOAT league, and my low opinion of the Juve league.
I've got a seat reserved for Robes, Urban and Frenzy. Anyone who wants on CBucks wild ride can join. When the time comes, Rincon, you better run and don't look back. This is over.

Thankfully no premier league team has done anything relevant in the CL for the past 4 years. This place would've been unbearable
Coming out of your caves now like Milan fans in the summer to enjoy a bit of sun
Winter is coming friends
Juve could easily lose in the round of 16 though, thats how the CL goes. That's why its the best competition

United and Spurs are the easiest teams we could draw
Would feel like a squash match honestly
Usually we peak/find form around Feb-March so it won't be a good time to face Juve

Tottenham is a nothing club that never achieved anything, no trophy cabinet, no charisma... no wonder why their fans have tingly pants after 1 win vs lethargic Real Madrid
Only surfing on the vibe of having a decent core of players, like Dortmund or Atletico before them. In 2 years they are back where they belong fighting for the EL spots with Stoke.
I bet a draw at Juventus Stadium would be a pillar moment of Spurs history.

m8 what does that say about your corrupt team that got smashed by an irrelevant team that couldn't even beat Gent last year?

Kane, Eriksen, Alli > Dybala, Piggy & Sturaro
