Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion Part 2
They panicked, pure and simple.
They looked awful though, i liked the look of Loftus Cheek and see why Rafa wanted to sign him when we were in the Championship but that aside it was relegation-tastic.

Rafa
Title what?
We should be happy if we finish in top 4 imo.
Very good 1st half against Soton, completely controlling the game. Second half was the worst we've had this season so far. Main problem was that nobody tried to keep the ball anymore. Soton created one single big chance in the 2nd half, but United had a bigger one. Anyway, Soton was constantly applying pressure on Man Utd and Mourinho did nothing to solve this problem. I get it, they defended very well, but that's not the point. They should have tried to calm the game and regain control. Never happened, didn't even attempt something like that.

Yea. RLC and TFM, 2 loanees incidentally have looked their best players until today. And today it seems even fosu mensah has turned a bit shit and is playing kinda scared all thanks to Hodgon's man management of him.
And is Benteke this bad or is he pretending to be this bad? Wouldnt even make a championship team 11 honestly atm.

He's been pretty awful for a while tbh, Shearer laid into him on MOTD last week.
Basically that while he's not getting any service he's doing nothing to help his team out in any way.

Ok, so he is the problem. Leave him out and Liverpool will rise from the ashes.

It's days like this, with five of the top six having won or are currently winning, that you're reminded of how shit the rest of the league is.

Doesnt help when the manager puts even your pacey forward to play left back, does it?! We werent even trying. Basically playing 8-1-1 with Ander as the AM. If not for their shit finishing, they would have surely pulled one back.
Not at all liking Matic-Fellaini pairing and sooner or later its going to cost us points.

Dat space between the 2 centre backs for the vardy run. Remember last season when vardy killed us with the same runs. Nice to see us learn from last season
