Needs more chances, its always fun to see him play. With the congested schedule ahead he should get some starts.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
He really is. I'd rather have him take penalties over Higuain if Dybala isn't there honestly. Doesn't get affected by pressure.

I just hope we get no more penalties at this point. I feel like they harm us more than help us because when we choke them then it impacts us mentally in a big way

Game winning assist from Berna, not the first nor the last time that his magic has seen us unlock a defence. I particularly like this for several reasons:
First, he takes the ball and he has all the intent to do something with it. Now he's sort of building a reputation ala Robben to cut inside off that right side and rip a shot, the defender plays him as such and instead Bernardeschi cuts outside. Now at this point, he's on his weak foot but still delivers a fantastic ball across to Alex Sandro. Game won.
I hope we just let him and Douglas Costa play the rest of our matches, they are such dynamic attackers that always have this bit of magic in them
Ninja edit- Sky Sport is reporting Bernardeschi will be out injured for a month ffs

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
Allegri said it wasn't serious or something like that. Juve's communication didn't say much about it. I doubt Sky knows what they are talking about before more tests happen.

Yeah, that's true. They are far too quick on their assessment and I've seen them wrong on injuries particularly before

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
Juventus forward Federico Bernardeschi could reportedly require surgery, keeping him out for the rest of the season.
The Italian international suffered a knee injury in the Derby della Mole win over Torino, and will be out for at least three weeks.
Now Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that if further scans in 21 days are not encouraging, Bernardeschi will undergo surgery which would keep him out for the rest of the season.
Gonzalo Higuain was also injured in the derby, but it’s thought he could return from an ankle knock for this Wednesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg with Atalanta.
However, Juan Cuadrado is expected to be out until after the March international break, while Mattia De Sciglio faces 15-20 days out with a thigh problem.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
Can't say i appreciate to read this, it's a neverending curse.
Knee injuries are the worst to recover by far, a surgery is much better option than some home-made treatment by the Juve doctors. Not even sure about the competence of our medical/fitness staff everybody is injured all the time.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
We have an incredible amount of injuries. Our fitness team seems closer to Serie C level than to world class.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
Yes they are far from world class. As you see i have edited but it needs to be said tbh
Either the treatment itself is bad, or it's the players who come back too soon and get injured again in a worse manner. Which is the medical staff's fault. Fitness is a problem as well, a LOT of minor injuries in every squad we have over the years.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
It's not a major injury/surgery (if required)
But yes, this season particularly we've had some poor luck. I don't think much is avoidable though

Every season during this time we get these kind of injuries. I remember the same time against Bayern 2 years ago when we had to play with 442 and Sturaro as a starter. We are a bit unlucky this time because the injuries hit us in the area we have most depth in. Also, Pjaca left at the time we needed him most. Now we only have Gonzalo, Dybala, Costa, Mandzukic. If one is injured, we will suffer.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
Hopefully this isn't the last we see of him this season but if it is, I think he has definitely shown enough to make us excited for the future.
He has that sort of artistry to his game that Del Piero/Pirlo had for example, but with more of a modern blend in terms of his speed/power

Same, I hope he's a starter every game that he's fit because the upside is just so clear. He has an absolute rocket of a shot too

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
18:11 - OPTIMISM FOR BERNARDESCHI - According to Sky Sport, there would be optimism on the conditions of Federico Bernardeschi. In fact, it is possible that the number 33 Juventus can return to the field to lend a hand to the team in view of the final rush of the season.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
Just read on Gazzetta today that Allegri is thinking of changing his role from winger/AM to mezzala
Thoughts ?

Yes for me. Ventura of all people tried him there, Conte I think too. He has the build and the skillset to be a mezzala.

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
No for me, I'd like him as close to the goal as possible.
With that being said, I do think he has the traits to succeed there and it would allow us some flexibility on the field

Re: Federico Bernardeschi
tbh I don't think he would be farther from goal at mezzala than he would be at RW. At least not to the point where I think it would affect things too much. He can play the Pogba/Iniesta role in his own way.
Since we are talking about mezzalas then we are talking about a midfield 3. A 3-5-2 or a 4-3-3.
If its a 4-3-3 which I think its likely, the RW on the front 3 is Dybala, who would be drifting way inside playing his usual game. So the right mezzala has to go wide when Dybala goes central. I think this is Bernardeschi.
So a mix between the 4-4-2 and a 4-3-3 born from the characteristics of Dybala. Max has talked about that.
A 3-5-2 is more unlikely imo because while it fits Dybala and everyone else like a glove, we also have Costa. So Costa would be LW/LWB. Then we also have a mezzala but a more traiditional one, a Pogba role.
With the defending/attacking movements of the game.
