I always liked Bonucci. Top defender, goat take no shit personality. It really seems he just took a payday here and can't be bothered in the slightest. Like he fell out of love with football. Damn shame.

His heart's clearly not in it any more. Unless he sorts himself out he basically retired when he left Juve Laughing

Not that it's an excuse, it's downright pathetic if you can't motivate yourself to maintain your current level despite getting a pay rise to the tune of x millions/year

That's true and all but you many times it's Bonucci's man with all the space and you do expect him to lead by example. Icardi's second goal on the weekend, Immobile before him. Sturaroback could do a better job marking those runs

That's a solid defense. Obviously not Juve tier but that's a B+ defense. Better than the majority of teams in Europe.

EPL stuff in English dominated media = prime erections

You could probably pick a random hype XI of English/PL players that were tipped to be next GOAT from the last decade that wouldn't make the championship top 12.

Not that Rashford isn't legit though.

You could legit make them from United players

tbf though it's like waking up every morning and going to work in a Lamborghini, then having it repossessed due to your own bad choices in life and being forced to drive to work in a fiat. I'd be unenthusiastic too.

Rodriguez here is not playing as RB, he is CB. As an fullback that bombs forward he is not really suited to play center back.

I've always been on the "Musacchio is a waste of money" bandwagon. He never showed anything special, just an average layer for Villareal. They basically signed Gonzalo Rodriguez without the maturity for a bunch of money.

It wasn't to excuse Bonnucci btw, he is playing like crap. Just saying that he is surrounded by a system that doesn't work.

It also has merit but he's the captain. He's supposed to be out there with something to prove after saying how he didn't feel wanted or appreciated at Juve, like one of brother @tom's tinder matches. He more than doubled his wages and I remember how he said things like "if Juve fans boo me, that will just fire me up and they know how I play when I'm fired up" like Dante and Giancarlo and all the other Milan band of brothers that disappeared the moment Immobile struck the fear of one thousand virgins into the eyes of Bonucci one faithful weekend afternoon, Bonucci has been the worst signing of this decade, Amauri level

Macheda is averaging a goal every 3 games for Novara. Harsh to put him in that list. He's legit, wouldn't be surprised if you sign him from Serie B like you did Lapidula tbh.

To show my point, and what I said before of Montella's Pep inspiration. This is what Bonucci sees around him in this game.

Not a WB - Not a CM - CM - Not a CM - WB
Not a CB - Bonucci - CB

The only players in their natural roles there are:
Locatelli (19 yo)
Calabria (20 yo)
Musacchio (average)

It's 2017 though, we need to accept position fluid players and those that identify as other positions IMO

If they progress further than Milan ffs

Agreed. Which is why despite costing us an average of 6 goals per game (Look it up at stfu.com if you don't believe me) I am 100% accepting of Right back Sturaro and I'm proud to be able to watch him flourish in his newly self-defined role.

They aren't doing too bad. They've played Roma, Juventus, Napoli, Fiorentina and Samp already. Tough schedule to start the season

People who copy Pep quite frankly annoy me tbh lol, as most of them don't seem to be able to implement his gameplan properly and as a result it flops massively.

I feel the same way about PL clubs who gone to 3 at the back just because Conte had success with it, yet the large majority don't have the first clue about how to implement it.

Like Luca said, they had the toughest schedule and fought every game to the end. They'll turn it around if their performances continue as they are.

Yeah it was hilarious how people tried copying Conte after a couple of league titles, managers that didn't even know what a wing back was all of a sudden rotating 3 man back lines into their line ups

Inb4 hipsters claim it was Napoli/Udinese, ain't nobody copying those jobbers.

Milan are missing strength and pace in midfield. Like a b2b player with physicality that can score from a run breaking the lines. I'm picture someone with like a West African profile. Got any players like that at Milan @ES?

Not really, unless you mean someone who follows the ball around mindlessly not doing anything, with a first touch thats 5 yards ahead of him, runs into defenders and gets dispossessed , then no
