Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 14
he may not look like the player he was at Juve, in terms of dribbling past part time gelato makers and banging in 30 yarders, but he's coming off a season where he's arguably the best CM in the league. In THE league.
It was a fine career move.

S wrote:Firenze wrote:Started typing out a counter post but realized I'd just keep repeating what I've been saying all along and we'll keep going in circles, despite half of your post being pure BS. I will say though that I haven't said Utd will win the PL title (outside of the predictions thread, which is meaningless, I've actually made comments that other teams will finish ahead of us, our objective is top 3 minimum first season) BUT Utd winning the PL is far more realistic than Juventus winning the CL. We have the quality throughout the squad to compete and more importantly a manager that is proven at the top lvl. There aren't any teams that are clearly superior to us on paper like there are in the CL for Juve. STFU acting like you're some CL giants when you haven't done shit outside of make a final once in the last forever.
So cool story Surag. You keep building up top lvl players, bigger teams will keep buying them. See you next season.
1 year is going to make a world of difference.
In that span, we are in the Champions league while you are in the Europa league .
We'll be competing against elite teams while you'll be competing against overhyped fodder in the league.
We'll reach the CL top 4 while you'll find yourselves scraping towards the epl top 4.
STFU
@Firenze
My foresight doe
So much crow biriyani to eat in that thread but first time to wrap up the CL ffs

This is the only setup where Pogba will look good:
Pogba--Proper CM
---Proper DM---
Man U got a 120 million cherry on top before getting a cake.

Unreal amount of jobbers releasing pent up hate they've been holding onto for the last 6 months praying for us to catch a league loss, stay mad. It's still treble season. Still CL qualification season. Still the biggest club in the world. Still signing the biggest players this summer. Still GLORIOUS.

Pogba isn't going to get the freedom to dribble past 10 training cones in a game like he did in Serie A. He has been perfectly fine this season. People expect him to turn water into wine because of his price tag.
Like I said, highest whoscored CM rating in the PL, multiple MOTM performances. Been a boss.
HE WASN'T EVEN PLAYING TODAY YOU CLOWNS ffs, that's how desperate you guys are to shit on United.

Its not about turning water into wine or a league loss. Its about spending like 9 months out of the top 4.
Talking shit left and right and all the scrub predictions backing United failed.

100% disappearing with my tail between my legs if Celta somehow beat us Thursday though, not returning until we're back in CL or if we sign Dybala/Mbappe this summer so I can troll Juve/Madrid fans.

I regarded you as family. In fact bigger than my family. You were my best friend ever but you chose to stab me in the back for 5 minutes of glory.
I will never forgive you for this. From now on, I'm going to make every second of your GL life utterly miserable.

question for you guys, answer honestly, do you consider a 6 month unbeaten league streak, 3 trophies (a european one included), CL qualification, while having an injury hit squad a bad season? Especially one with a new manager. Just wondering.

Yes it is a bad season. Its a bad season when you are further from the top than last season after spending like 200m and signing your top manager. You can count mickey mouse cups all you want but in the EPL and then FA cup United is nowhere near the top. Plus you haven't actually won any european trophies.
You can't hype your team to the heavens, spend half a billion, and then be happy with going backwards.
Time to join the Milan, Liverpool and Arsenal fans in being aware of their team's misfortunes

EL is all but locked though. FA Cup we had a deep run. We will also end up with more points than we did last season. It's been a great season. (when we win EL)

That's not a stat and the only crazy thing about it is the melt behind the keyboard posting it. Easily the WOAT GL member. Wish you would disappear like Origi in big games.

Dat reigns expression ffs. So cringe worthy
Anyway enough banter for today.
Happy to be going over tonight. All that's left is burying Firenze in his EL grave. Or maybe I'll get some assistance from zigra
Happy times

I think that would be a great season. I've no idea which club had a season like that but for them it must be a great season.

Don't worry. Man United will definitely win EL, and they'll sign both Dybala and Mbappe this summer. De Gea will stay. They'll win the CL next season, too. Kumbaya.
