Re: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal (16/17)
could have been slightly easier to take it if Wenger had come out and announce his retirement for end of the season
if 50+ percent of squad has to change as a consequence,so be it

Can only imagine how this squad would react if Wenger announced his retirement before the end of the season. It wouldn't be pretty.
We could sell half this squad and I genuinely wouldn't care.

Re: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal (16/17)
I think it's more of a mental problem to be honest. The coaching worked in the first half with a bit of luck then 2-1 with the chance Ozil gets. It's the the players that need to look at themselves. if they aren't prepared to suffer and compete then they just are just making things difficult for themselves ffs. They allowed themselves to be walked over in the second half to be honest.
This game looks more more like them one against City, Man united and Everton games, decent first half performances thrown away thanks to gutless second performances where the players are just wandering aimlessly on the pitch as if they are just waiting to loose. so sad

Re: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal (16/17)
The manager shouldn't be sending his team out to be "gutless" in the first place. That is HIS responsibility. If it happens regularly then he has to go because whatever he does isn't inspiring this team.
It's no wonder the team has this mentality. They know that playing shit won't mean anything because half of them will keep their spot in the team. You can tell there's no plan in place because they all look to each other asking wtf do they do whenever something goes wrong.
I mean, it's bad when two players in the team want to press but the rest of the team doesn't. How does it get to that stage? Surely the manager has told to either press or don't press? Which is it?
You just can't expect good things with such conflict in the team. There's no real plan for games so there's nothing for the team to focus on. Every other team are coached to an extent that every player knows their role and responsibility at any given moment. Arsenal become lost the moment they aren't playing well.

There is no one factor. It's everything.
Shit tactics
Shit coaching
Shit mentality
Shit talent.
Most of that can be fixed with decent coaching. Which we don't have.
Problem is with Arsene 100%. There is no other way around it.
1) team has a constantly give up mentality. Every single time. We don't just lose. We implode. That is down to Arsene
2) team never understands the important of a match or how big it is. Down to Arsene
3) team never goes into the match prepared. Mentally or tactically. down to Arsene
4) No one understands the game plan. Down to Arsene
5) players know their position is safe because they are Arsene's favourites. Down to Arsene
6) players know they can give a shit performance and go home collecting their wages. Down to Arsene.
We actually need a transition. Clubs get scared of it because of what happened to Liverpool and United. But we actually need it. The only way to get progress is to make a change. Things are stagnated or they are regressing. We have not moved forward in the last 7 years or more.
Arsene carried us till 2013. After that he has constantly been underachieving.
Legend status can only carry him to some point. I really hope he resigns.

We should also take a moment to acknowledge that Wenger spent £35m on Mustafi. This is the definition of a big money flop.

Re: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal (16/17)
For now though, either Valencia defense was a unit job ( hello struggling Otamendi) or he needs proper coach. And the usual solid Kozz had some really bad games this year as well.
As for the game, yesterday defeat was biggest shock for Barcelona and their fans. Our game though, business as usual, most of us expected this. That's how big of a gap between us and CL elites.

He wasted an ENTIRE summer and ended up getting a CB no one went after lmao.
Absolute joke. There are some ELITE french talents. He ended up getting a failed post man. Lmao
Our wingers have been trash since Nasri last played at LW. no change.

Re: Bayern Munich vs Arsenal (16/17)
Koscielny has been average as well but he shows glimmers of being a good defender. Mustafi has just all-round sucked. Has no recovery pace, can barely jump, doesn't anticipate well, doesn't track runs well, fouls a lot and points and yells at others despite not doing his job. It's like a centre back version of Flamini.
I hope Holding gets more games. Sadly he's wasting away on our bench just like Chambers did.

26% possession last night lmao. Not even against the greatest team of the last 3 decades we had that low possession against.
Terrible.
