I am a strong believer of his qualities, he had a huge role to play in Decima campaign, when he started ahead of Marcelo for our Bayern semi and multiple clasicos and other big games

He needs chances to get back to his form, he is solid.

I have to disagree, he can't string 2 matches together without getting injured and when he has played he has looked incredibly shaky.

I guess he has shown enough to warrant being a 3rd LB option after Danilo, but apart from that he doesn't provide anything for me.

I can only imagine Zidane doesn't want Ronaldo or Benzema tracking the runs of Mariano but wants the security of a three man midfield as well.

Looking at the line-ups now I can definitely see Mariano and Vitolo tagging up on Marcelo.

I have a feeling ZZ is doing this to have that element of surprise seeing as we are playing them 3 times in 2 weeks. It could also be due to wanting to be able to soak up Sevilla's early onslaught and go for the jugular in the 2nd half. Most of the guys on our bench are attackers so I have a feeling he is expecting us to do the attacking in the second and just survive in the first. Or it could be due to wanting to protect Marcelo from their wingers. Who knows. It's a very risky experiment thats for sure

Extending the lead to 8 points is too good an opportunity to pass up. We need to give everything to win tonight while keeping in mind that we won't probably have another chance to extend the gap at the top.

I repeat what I said before, these are the kind of games that win you the league. If we want to be champion, we must beat Sevilla tonight.

Interesting lineup wondered when the team was gonna try 3 at the back, gotta get these 3 pts hopefully with a solid performance as well.

3 at the back wasn't expected but it's not that surprising because of the 3 goals we conceeded midweek. I can see us switching back to a back 4 in the second half though.

Defense has been fantastic. The midfield is completely jamming any decent Sevilla attack.
Our attack looks a bit starved but then again there's less options attacking wise.

disciplined performance. I think the idea is that Sevilla's press will tire in the 2nd half so you just need to keep it tight until then. Get offensive around the 65 min mark.

Solid half so far. Kroos is struggling abit in this set up. Ronaldo's every touch is a turnover. I dont know ehat Modric's role is this game. He seems to be alternating between RF and CM. Defensively speaking we are doing really well. Hopefully Sevilla will tire towards the end of the game and we can unleash the Morata and Lucas

Casemiro is like a chinese wall. Opponents must hate him. He's everywhere winning balls back

Yeah, it does look like we are playing the waiting game. Rarely any attacking threat but our defending is firm and disciplined.

Zidane needs to adjust here, this system is containing sevilla well, but we are not taking enough shots in good situations
