I am convinced we won't lose this streak now. I mean play like this and still draw. It's a bloody miracle
My thoughts exactly, going to be another tough one this weekend, but with most of the starters back I don't see how Sevilla cope on Sunday.

Luck played a huge part in today's draw, and you want to make sure you still have enough tools to win when it runs out.

Boy please. If Zidane was coaching Sweden right now we would have at least a WC trophy to our names

From Marcelo's post-game interview:
This coming from a guy who didn't give a rat's fury ass about the game
Marcelo wrote:We never thought of resting on our first-leg advantage, and we didn't obsess about our unbeaten streak. We take things one match at a time, and the team fights all the way to the end.

"We didn't care about the streak" yeah right. They were going beserk on the bench after Benz scored.

Danilo is Danilo. We all know how he is
Can you explain this? Other than couple lay off passes he was pretty meh, has long way to go but at least he doesn't crumble as easy as the golden boy morata, who is mainly good as a sub.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Yeah, I didn't think Mariano was all that impressive.
Our attack was disjointed in general, which was understandable given the attacking trio of Asensio, Morata, and Mariano have barely played together at this level.
I was surprised by the Vazquez sub, I thought he had played well, unless there was an injury or something. Should have taken off Danilo for Carvajal instead

Vasquez might be a better backup to Carvajal than Danilo. I trust him much more on both ends

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Well Vasquez just came back from an injury and if he is starting on Sunday then the sub makes sense
I was more pissed with having to sub in Carvajal just to salvage something on that right side. He was supposed to get rested this game but had to be called upon because his back up is a walking disaster. We need to cut our losses and get someone we can actually rely on to take a fair share of minutes when Carvajal is being rested or out injured
To think Rafa tried to ostracise Carvajal for this guy. We would have finished 4th if he didn't get sacked wheb he did. Maybe the pos should just get him off us when Newcastle sort out the technicalities iof having to grace championship with their presence before ascending to where they belong

Yeah, it's hard to think that there aren't better alternatives even in the lower part of La Liga. Can't believe we had Fabinho in Castilla who is now killing it for Monaco and is likely to be bought by a British club for 25m+. He became quiet a player tbh. Meanwhile, we are stuck with Lord danilo

We don't even have a reliable LB either. Dani or Marcelo gets a long term injury and we are royally screwed.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Worst comes to worst we have Lucas who can play RB and Nacho who can play LB. But that's only if the back up gets injured too because it's they who are the problem not the ones below them or above them

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Absolutely disgusting
I respect Sevilla as a club, and I definitely think those vulgar fans don't represent their whole fanbase. But my god, what they did was revolting.
Kudos to Ramos for staying classy and for apologizing to the decent section of the crowd for scoring the goal.
Sergio Ramos received insults from fans Sevilla yesterday!!!

FWIW, Sevilla have released a statement saying they don't condone that type of behaviour and have urged fans to cut out the insults. Nonetheless it's disappointing to see, though not surprising given what end of the ground it was (Biris Notre, responsible for any bad rep Sevilla fans have).

Ramos claims Biris doesn't act this way when Alves and Rakitic visit the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium. Is that true, Jay?

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
I don't know about Alves, but last time Rakitic came back, the Biris held up a banner saying he'll always be their captain and is welcome back. So between Ramos and Rakitic, there's an obvious difference in treatment.
I can only speculate that Ramos has become so synonymous with Madrid now that the fact he's a Sevilla youth product no longer matters. And there might be an element of resentment that he left during a time Sevilla were winning things and actually competing for the title. Whereas someone like Rakitic gets a pass because his sale was a necessity due to financial problems and Sevilla aren't close to the level of Barca and Madrid. Their best players leaving is more of an expectation now.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Iirc Ramos came through their youth system. Some of them may be a bit bitter that he left seeing as he was seen as Sevillas biggest talent at the time. It's not like we got him for meagre €10mill to get him. We had to pay his buyout clause
Alves was alot bigger for Sevilla. Don't know why they don't hate him as much. Also Keita didn't get any abuse despite paying some of the buyout clause himself just to go to Barca. Sporting/UTD respect Ronaldo, Porto respect Pepe, Zidane was respected by Juve. Seems like only Ramos is getting shit from his former club.
We have had a few players celebrating goals like crazy against us despite going through our youth system. I mean the only thing missing from Negredo's celebrations was the kiss on Sevilla crest. Parejo too with that smug drugged up face of his celebrates like he scores against Barca. None of them get any abuse from our fans

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
First off, showing Ramos the finger ain't that bad. Psh, you should hear my rants in my private time when Ramos performs badly.
Secondly, I too am a bit perplexed as to why that section of Sevilla fans have it out for Ramos. I don't think he ever criticized his former club (if he did, please feel free to correct me). He certainly is hella proud of his Andalusia roots so I can't really understand their disdain for him.

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Maybe they simply don't like selling their best players to Madrid. I don't know how they received Baptista, Suker or even Zamorano after they sold them. But when you see Keita, Rakitic and Alves still respected by their Ultras even to this day, you can't help but wonder why they hate Ramos so much even though he has always spoken highly of them.
Maybe Ramos wouldn't have been abused by the Biris had he been sold to another big club.
Of course we can only speculate at this point...

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
a lot of clubs in spain are just jealous and hate madrid, nothing wrong with that, they have no problem selling to barcelona than they do us....yes ramos grew up there and all, but as far as his career with them, as mentioned alves raktic and keita have been more successful with them so one would expect the hate to be more for those guys, but cos its madrid, everybody wants to blow a gasket.....(in fairness to them, ramos also tends to rub opposing fans the wrong way). let's hope we can get a positive result on the weekend....this is just fans being fans, as long as no extreme abuse/slurs or objects thrown at players

Re: Sevilla vs Real Madrid
Didn't DelNido blame us for all Sevilla's problems financially before he was convicted Valencia too would rather sell us a virus than a player. Like tito said we are just an easy target for clubs to blame their woes on anf for fans to just abuse us without our players going full whingecelona on them
