Yea agreed with this. PL has never been as strong as it is now below the top 6-8

Because good players play for "scrubs" it doesn't make them good teams.

Because quite clearly they are not good teams.

While I agree in theory that good players does not necessitate a good team, they are highly correlated

Good win for Spurs, Watford were a horror show.

Dele is one better than Ozil and Firmino

Edit: No midfielder was directly involved in more Premier League goals than Christian Eriksen in 2016.

Well clearly they are not because West Ham are not a good team.

Having good players on paper in these teams doesn't mean the competition is higher.

Considering the performances of these teams below the top 6 there can't be one single argument in favour of what you are arguing tbh.

I can remember multiple seasons where teams are putting in better performances below the top 6 than what they are doing this season.

They are just not very good, i mean West Brom are 8th ffs Laughing your argument is basically that there's good players in the teams below the top 6 but the reality is those so called big players are not impacting results like they have in the past.

Not talking about other leagues, i couldn't care less lol.

I just don't see an argument can be formed that the bottom half is stronger when your trash team has lost 3 times all season and Spurs have lost twice Laughing

Leicester topped a group with Belgian, Danish and Portuguese rivals. The top 7-15 are terrible and wouldn't be fighting for CL spots in any top league. Mole is right here. Payet being at West Ham doesn't mean they are not terrible. Only Everton looks good outside of the big teams.

Even Everton don't look like that good IMO, they are carried to another results to stay above ground due to Lukaku.

The midfield especially looks decidedly mediocre to me.

No forward has won more tackles (19) or made more interceptions (19) in the Premier League this season than Liverpool's Roberto Firmino.

Boro and Leicester are playing out a proper Championship game right now. The ball has spent more time in the air than on the ground.

at the very least we will drop points, thinking a draw tbh

that said I keep falling into the habit of thinking of the West Ham from last season, they have been shocking this season, disappointing if we do drop points but we've been on a damn good run so it's gotta happen sooner or later
