I for one welcome him, reminds me of Gatusso for real but for a destroyer he has a really impressive tech and passing from the videos at least.

Aren't you guys worried about the lack of goalscorers from midfield? Rincon, Sturaro Khedira (tho I admit he's doing fine in that aspect compared to when he played for Madrid) Asamoah, Lemina are lackluster in that aspect. Not to mention Marchisio has less opportunities to score now that he plays deeper. I mean, I get it that you have Pipita that takes care of filling the void of a lot of the goals of Vidal, Pogba, Marchisio (as mezz'ala), but I would have invested in a goalscoring CM tbh.

We need energy much more than goals. Before we had a bunch of poverty forwards and our midfield had to do more in attack. With Pjanic and Khedira we are well covered. Cudrado, Mandzukic, Sandro, Dybala, Higuain, etc. We even have to see Pjaca still.

If the team allows Pjanic, Dybala and Higuain to flourish then goals will flow.

Our goal scoring will come from  Pipita, La Joya and Pjanic, as well as Cuadrado. Rincon and hopefully Witsel are necessary so we can switch to a 4-3-1-2, which is Allegri's favoured formation. We needed a destroyer ala Gattuso/Vidal in order to make a permanent switch and allow Pjanic to play as a trequartista.

Pjanic playing closer to goal will allow him to increase his goal and assist totals. Last year he led Serie A in goals and assists for a midfielder and this year if he plays higher up behind the strikers he should lead the way again. He makes up for the loss of Pogba in terms of goal scoring if he is playing as a TQ.

In a 4-3-1-2 we can also unleash Dybala. He can focus on playing closer to the box and on scoring goals alongside Higuain. Pjanic will be the set up guy. I have a feeling Juventus will go on a long unbeaten streak like last year come the new year. Marotta knows exactly what we need. Rincon and hopefully Witsel will take us to the promised land.

I do agree with you.

Both Pogba and Vital added a lot of attacking threat and goals to our midfield, not just physicality, and now we are badly lacking both. Khedira seems to be the one who is pretty good in attacking but he also squanders most chances Very Happy but at least he is there.

Around the same height and weight as Vidal or Nainggolan. Most players of their kind are that size.
