Gaming Industry is so weird

Pack everything over Christmas and first quarter of the new year but releasing anything in between? nah *bleep* that.

I honestly hope a bunch of stuff gets delayed, really hope Mass Effect does for example

I'm basically buying 5 games within the space of a month.

A couple of them i might have to just let go and hope they drop in price a couple of months in.

Yakuza is another Playstation exclusive, by the way. Xbox

Watched some gameplay of Yakuza, don't think it's for me tbh as it's far too Japanese

Signed up for betas of For Honor and Nioh, we'll see if I want them or not.

Otherwise it's nothing till Horizon and then the madness begins.

Yakuza is one of the best game franchises exclusive to the PS but not made by Sony. It's weird at places, but has tight satisfying gameply, original and over the top story, and tons of things to do.

I don't understand being "too Japanese" as a criticism honestly. Nearly every game from the 1990 to the PS360Wii era was "too Japanese". FFS, there cannot be a more Japanese series than Metal Gear and that gets a ton of love.

Because I don't like that style lol, oh and Metal Gear is nowhere near as Japanese as that looked and besides I don't love that all that much too tbh.

I have certain tastes and that looks too OTT in the Japanese direction for my liking.

The combat put me off completely, I like certain Japanese things but that looked too much for my tastes.

will it ever end ffs, I think the gimmick of COD4 remaster was a huge selling point, Infinite Warefare is like 17 pounds here after only a couple months, that's really rare for COD

It would have bombed by cod standards (Might still have I don't care enough to look) but they introduced COD 4, the game so so many people nostalgically remember as the OG COD, and managed to convince people to actually pay an extra £25-30 to get that.


Which is why if people showed restraint and didn't let old nostalgic feelings boost cod sales so much they would have suffered.

They have their fanboys just as badly as drug dealers have their clients. So whatever they're free to re-release cod 4 every year, add 2 camos charge 60 quid and still break top 5 sales probably.

They also bundled COD with tons of PS4s. I even have it cause it came with the console even though I hate most CODs ffs.

I like it a lot, they have seem to have changed some stuff with regards to stamina.

Now if you time it well it replinishes but you are still *bleep* if you allow it completely go.

Although i got annoyed because i got caught fighting some mini bosses ( they basically look like Japanese mythical creatures lmao) and they keep knocking me in the water because i was stupid enough to fight them near the edge smh.

Looking at all the upgrades there seems to be a lot of depth that i haven't got close to experimenting with yet.

Will play it again later today, although i'm playing the For Honor beta next week and i'm only going to buy one of them so i'll see how that goes.

Definitely buying one of them though.

Doesn't like games that are too heavy on Japanese culture. Downloads both Nioh demos

I don't dislike Japanese culture, in fact I like it a lot. But not current day stuff so much, the combat in Yakuza was very OTT looking and I don't feel like I'd enjoy it.

I can understand people liking it, it's just not for me.

I tried Yakuza back in the day on the ps2, the combat and gameplay in general were not for me. Nioh looks cool, I'll download the demo, might end up buying it,

NeoGAF top 10 games of the year was an interesting list, I voted, surprised to see Doom that high up though, I need to pick it up soon, has to be super cheap by now

2016 was a LEGIT years of years tbh

2017 looks like it could easily be on par or surpass it if the games on the horizon live up to the hype

Doom is fantastic Firenze.

Should get it IMO, not usually a fan of FPS single player unless it's Metroid Prime, Bioshock and the likes but it's fantastic.

A lot more to it than just fast paced killing which has shocked me.

2015 was better IMO.

2015 was obviously better, but the more games i played in the latter half of this year ( mainly Hitman, Deus Ex, Doom and TLG) it made me realise this year was actually better than i originally thought.

Also M99 you could add Rocket League, Until Dawn and Dying Light to that list tbh among others.

Inside was fantastic and an underratedgem, i recommend you all to sit and finish it in one sitting (its like 3-4 hours) it has very strong themese and really had an emtional impact on me. Its from the makers of Limbo
