Who will advance to the quarter-finals?
UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Second Last 16 match-up. Real Madrid is the big favourite, I don't think Napoli have any chance to go through. My prediction: Real Madrid to go through

not sure why Serie A fans are saying this will be a tough match for Madrid. Standard win over both games. Predicting Napoli to lose on aggregate by 4 goals or more.

Predicting a draw at Italy and a comfortable Madrid victory at Spain.

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Haven't see a Napoli match outside the UCL so I can only judge from that and still, they are a formidable opponent for Madrid. They won't sheepishly roll over like City did last year but I can see them doing a Roma easily.
That being said, siding with Hans on what he wrote in the UCL thread that Madrid just wins these sort of ties regardless of football form.

I think Sarri's Napoli will surprise many, I'm excited to see them vs Real. They are improved a lot on their away games in Europe which was always their Achilles' heal in european competition.
Napoli is obviously the underdog but they have solid chances to progress.

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Is it possible for Milik to fully recover till the match? I heard he was already doing ball trainings in November?
Not saying he will get back to his form after such a serious injury, but never say never.

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Mid November I think they said he started with the ball but that seemed like more recovery than training. There is a chance I think, maybe for the second leg. It'd be hilarious if they sign Zaza and he knocks out Madrid

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
He should be back around end of january/start of february but it's hard to imagine he'd be in a good form to play against Madrid. At least in the first leg.
I hope Mertens plays and not Gabbiadini. One leg Milik would be better than Gabbiadini actually.

They seem to have worked out how to play with out a CF, but if Milik is fit and has played a few Serie A matches before the tie, then it will be more interesting.

It won't be as easy as it sounds because Sarri is more competent than previous Napoli managers. However Madrid are still going through.
maybe a draw in Naples and thrashing in Madrid.

With the way we're playing, they don't need the help of the ref. They're just gonna eat us for breakfast.

The Napoli is unbeatable in their stadium that is a sort of South-American scenario
Real must win absolutely the 1st leg , and with a good result
( anyway I hope Real will pass)

Why do you hope Napoli loses?

Maybe he doesn't like Napoli? Or likes Madrid way more than he likes Napoli?
Anyway, the other Doc needs to learn before one says doom and gloom, wait till the match actually finishes.

Re: UCL Last 16: Real Madrid vs Napoli
Napoli got this. We are probably going to try out this new formation 6-3-1 for this game. Unless Ramos/Ronaldo rescue us we won't be winning this tie
We have all our players back though bar Bale though. Nice silverling i guess

The reason I ask is it's a very Italian thing to cheer against other Italian teams in Europe, I just wanted to know if that is the reason. While I could never support Napoli, I'm neutral towards the outcome of this tie.
