Just as a quick aside, Ellie is born in 2019 and is part of the first generation in the US where American caucasians are expected to be less than 50% of their generation. Millenials are 56% and Zoomers 52% so not exactly an overwhelming majority either. (Not even sure what the people after Zoomers are called).

I get how having every race represented might feel like they're checking a box and make you roll your eyes as if you were looking at a corporate brochure intent on making everyone feel welcome, but multi-racial groups should be the norm by then (they're pretty common already). Especially in a post-apocalyptic zombie world where many of the systematic segregation structures that keep people separated in the US no longer exist. The Walking Dead had a very diverse cast and no one ever complained about it.

Not that ND is thinking about any of this, just pointing it out.

And try to look at things as balanced as i can, which quite clearly most people discussing games have zero interests in doing.

My friend is halfway through the game and he says nothing feels forced and the criticism is a mystery to him. He likes the plot and where they went with it. My copy hasn't arrived yet and I was lucky to avoid any spoilers up to this point

I’m only a few hours in. I’m trying to get the missable stuff in Seattle. Nothing to complain about, so far. I’m pretty sure it was the final part of the game that people were unhappy with, though, which has already been pointed out in this thread.

There is no propaganda, nothing is forced. Most of the things said about the game are straight up lies.

It's sad though, i really enjoyed my time with the game and the toxic conversations that surround it from people who clearly haven't played the game make me want to just never speak about it ever again.

18 hours in. Done for today after hitting the end game. If it weren’t for summer I would have finished it in 2 days.

I should be done with it this weekend. Imagine doubting ND and listening to basement dwellers.

Will easily be my favorite SP or second with RDR2 taking the other spot.
